Delicious Galway-roasted artisan coffee served by the sea in Roundstone, Connemara. Along with a full coffee menu that includes alternative milks, we serve hearty home-made sourdough toasties, pastries and unique sweet treats baked fresh every day, all served with a smile. Our Summer menu includes house recipe mouth-watering smoothie bowls, iced coffees & Angelito soft serve "99" ice-creams, while our winter menu includes soul-warming soups and dahls - the perfect accompaniment for a winter stroll on Gurteen or Dogs Bay, Connemara. Along with this, we have jewellery, gifts, artwork & unique souvenirs, postcards & photographic prints designed by us, exclusive to Coffee Cottage.

This small coffee shop is situated near the picturesque harbour in Roundstone.
There is limited seating outside in a sheltered location but takeaway is available.
The coffee is just fabulous and our toasted cheese sandwich the tastiest I have ever eaten. Also, had a beautiful lemon drizzle slice.
The menu is limited but very well thought out with something for everyone. The staff are very pleasant.
I would highly recommend this fantastic cafe to anyone visting Roundstone.

We lunched at this little gem of a place today and what a fantastic experience it was! We sat on the little terrace gazing across the harbour at the Connemara mountains beyond and enjoyed really generous helpings of delicious homemade carrot, chilli and honey soup and the best toasted cheese sandwich (4 different types!) I've ever tasted. We washed it down with yummy hot coffee...all served by the charming young couple who opened it during lockdown. They deserve to enjoy great success...they're offering a huge welcome and delicious, fresh, homemade food.

Lunch with a view! No matter how grey the Wild Atlantic weather is, there is always fantastic food and a friendly welcome at Coffee Cottage in Roundstone, Co. Galway! The toasted sourdough sandwiches were delicious! We had a “Bogger” and a “Club”. The wholesome healthy soup was exactly what we needed to warm up the fresh Spring afternoon, and my Chai Latte was simply perfect. This couple put a lot of their personal energy and enthusiasm into Coffee Cottage - and it shows! Highly Recommended!

Anytime I go to visit family I stop off for a coffee, treat or chat. The views are amazing, the pastries are homemade and fresh and you can bring your doggie to say hi. I recommend the mini donuts!
They also stock jams and chutneys. A beautiful little spot.

We came across The Coffee Cottage after a morning on the stunning dogs bay beach , and stopped for refreshments . Our family of ten were served in double quick time . Everything got 10 out of 10 from us … and between us we managed to taste a good selection…. Toasted sandwiches (one better than the rest ) cookies with the perfect amount of chewiness and an almond croissant to die for. Our eclectic milk and coffee requirements catered for without a blink! And no problem taking a family picture for us ! can’t recommend this place highly enough

If you want lunch, a snack, coffee, something sweet or you need to pick up a little gift, this place is a must. Little, but perfect. Went in there with my husband on a rainy bank holiday Monday. Just enough room for us to grab a stool and have a chat with a couple of locals. Went in there with my husband on a rainy day and grabbed a stool and drank a few coffees and really enjoyed the sandwiches, the salted caramel donuts and the pain au chocolat. The Bogger sandwich was absolutelydelicious. The staff and owners are so nice. Also picked up some blackberry jam and chill jam to give as gifts and bring home. A must do if you're passing through Roundstone.

A small gem of a coffee shop in Roundstone with the best toasties ever. Soup of the day was a Tarka Dahl with Paratha bread and it was a tasty meal with the bread light, fluffy and everything Paratha should be. The Dahl was perfect and wholesome! Followed by a delicious choc chip cookie and hot chocolates with cream and marshmallows for the kids, the perfect meal after a long walk and a swim. Would highly recommend!

I'm not normally one for leaving reviews, but sometimes you come across a place and you feel obliged to do so. Some friends and I rocked up on our bikes in to beautiful Roundstone and we found the Coffee Cottage for our lunch stop. All of the food we ordered looked amazing. I had the four cheese sour dough toastie and it was incredibly tasty. Just what we needed to keep us going for the second half of our ride. If you stop there on your travels, be sure to give it a go!

We happened upon Coffee Cottage by accident and are delighted we did! Aoife and James, the lovely couple who are the proprietors, have created a wonderful place and serve very high quality coffee and food. Their chocolate croissants were delish, and the Americanos were the best we have had in Ireland, by far! This place is so lovely that we are planning on going three consecutive days, once they open for the week on Thursday. Thank you for your gracious hospitality and for being there! -Rachael Irwin

Fantastic spot that caters for not only coffee but a whole range of lunch options from delicious smoothie bowls to tasty sandwiches and treats. Would highly recommend grabbing a bite to eat or coffee to go and sitting on the harbour wall to enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains. Staff are also so kind and welcoming!! 5/5 stars without a doubt.

Excellent food, coffee and service with a smile! Aoife and James are extremely friendly and chatty. We had a mix of food; sausage roll, sweets treats and three types of sandwiches which were all fabulous, I would have pictures but the food was devoured.
We all agreed that the coffee was gorgeous, the best I've had!
We cannot wait to go back, thank you Aoife and James, see you soon!

Popped into this characterful coffee shop for a quick drink and a small bite. We were recommended the blueberry and lime cake which was utterly delicious. Great coffee. Toasted sandwiches looked so tasty. The couple who run the place are very upbeat friendly souls who deserve to do well with this small enterprise. We sat outside overlooking the harbour/pier and with long views over to the mountains beyond. Lovely location with coffee and cake to match. Hope to stop there again before too long.

We visited coffee cottage in roundstone in beautiful connemara and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent. The toasties are so delicious....and that bread is out of this world. The coffee is amazing and all that paired with the beautiful views makes it a must when in the area. I also purchased their homemade jam, raspberry and elderflower liquer as a gift for my mum and I'm just sorry I didn't get one for myself...it is out of this world. All of this along with the warm and inviting welcome from Aoife an James who run coffee cottage will have us going back again and again. We can't wait for our next visit!

My friends and I went on a day trip to Dogs Bay recently and stopped here for breakfast. We were greeted by the lovely and very friendly owners before ordering our food. Between us we got a mix of smoothie bowls, toasties, fresh pastries and coffees. We sat outside overlooking the gorgeous views. We were all very happy with what we got and are looking forward to our next visit to Coffee Cottage Roundstone! 10/10 ⭐️

Feel lucky to have Coffee Cottage on my doorstep. Great Coffee, Hot Chocolates, Cookies, Pastries, Toasties, Smoothie Bowls and lots of other local foods and crafts. Thank you James and Aoife for bringing such a fantastic addition to Roundstone all year round. Keep up the great work!!!
