Great pub, best pint of Guinness in a while. Lucky to be there when amazing trad musicians (some past Gradam Ceoil winners) started to play in the bar under the picture of DeDeanann. Food is practical- chicken panini out of a sandwich maker and frozen chips. Would have loved to have had mussels or a chowder with our pints of the black stuff. Authentically music, authentic food…. Come on teach Ned - get back fishing and have the best the island can offer!

We took the Doolin ferry out from Rossaveel (40-minutes on a calm but misty day) and spent most of the day exploring the rocky island with the narrow roads and occasional wandering livestock. Tigh Ned is pub is nicely situated close to where the ferry landed. We enjoyed the food (tuna paninis and salad) and the views at this restaurant cum pub, with it’s walled beer garden and home-brewed beer. Other diners praised their crab claws and crab meat specials with a salad. In better weather we would have sat out front to enjoy the meal but a pint of their own brewed ale and Guinness plus friendly banter kept us all quite happy.

Great little pub, with a friendly and welcoming establishment. Busy little spot but we were seated quickly and the staff were extremely friendly and happy to recommend one of the freshest smoked salmon salads I have had in a long time. Guinness was also 10/10 Definitely recommend. Keep up the great work lads, we will be back.

We visited on a very wet day and had our wee dog with us as many do. Unfortunately this place has a no dog policy indoors. I’m baffled as to why as it’s quite spacious and it seemed absolutely unnecessary on a day like that but the manager refused to even give her a chance at coming in. This was the only place we visited which wasn’t dog friendly on our trip to Clare so it was really very frustrating. I would have happily left with her if she misbehaved or someone complained but we weren’t extended the courtesy of trying. The staff that served us were very friendly and also quite apologetic about the dog but their hands were tied. Food was really nice and so were the pints it’s just a pity in this day and age that a bar like this doesn’t allow dogs in. Anyone who’s been to Inis Oirr knows a lot of people bring their dogs on the ferry so seems a bit silly. They also had to remove a man and make him stand outside with his dog while the rest of his family ate despite them occupying a singular corner of the pub no where near any other customers. Again the staff were not at fault this seemed to be coming from the manager

A great pub with so many maritime display items it might also pass as a museum. Really friendly staff and the food.....words fail me. The fish and chips on Saturday were sublime and the crab salad on Sunday was a delicate once in a lifetime treat.

Tried to call and mail the restaurant several times in advance of my visit to the island - no reply ! So on the advice of another trip advisor user we just turned up and joined the queue for an outdoor table. Advise you to come early (12:00) if it’s a fine sunny table in order to secure a lunch table. Menu has a mix of salads, sandwiches and soups. We tried the goat cheese salad , veg soup, smoked salmon and brown bread & the ham/cheese toastie. All were good. The tram were able to look after allergies well ( nut and coeliac). Happily recommend if you’re spending time on this lovely little island.

So glad we found this pub. It was a really nice finish to an amazing day on the island. Staff were so nice and welcoming the atmosphere was very relaxed listening to the locals speaking Irish. Food was lovely and reasonably priced. Bar itself was full of Irish character. Would highly recommend. Will be back soon

Took the ferry out in hopes of biking the island and really enjoying the day. Unfortunately the island was super windy, cold, and raining at the time I came so I immediately took shelter here, at Tigh Ned's. Ordered a hot tea and a panini. Panini was a vegetarian one with pesto. Was ok. Nothing great and wasn't feeling the flavors. The place itself is very cozy and though I didn't have much interaction with the owner(s)/employee(s), I did see some other tourist really gelling with them and enjoying themselves. It was nice to see.

Enjoyed lunch at Tig Ned’s after a lovely cycle around the island, 30 years since our last visit. We both had half lobster and salad, ate it in the garden. Delicious. Though it was busy the service was efficient and friendly.

Great view, friendly staff (particularly girl with the dog named Willow), had lovely fish and chips and fine pint of Guinness, whilst sheltering from the rain.

Nice salads! Good pub after a beautiful walk. A magnificent view over the bayside. The rockshore lager was a fine refreshment.

Lovely outdoor seating area. Friendly team behind the bar. Order food at the bar and they will bring it out. They will take credit card as well as cash. Solid fish and chips - super fresh. Tasty bacon and Brie panini. We had lunch then biked the island. Came back for another round.
