Hats off and a big ‘bualadh bus’ 👏🏼 to the extremely hard working staff of Joe Watty’s. Myself and my two adult nieces dined there Sunday and Monday night, Sunday night because we had heard it was good and Sunday night because the other restaurants...in the Long queues on both nights but you could have a drink while you were waiting. The ‘bean an tí’ played a blinder and got us seated and we were fed quickly enough. Had steak on the second night and it was excellent. Very hardworking staff all round, 10/10 to everyone in Joe Watty’s!More

We visited Joe Watty’s one very hot Sunday for lunch. It was very busy but we were immediately met at the doorway and our names were take for queue for lunch and told we’d have a half hour wait but we could have a drink...while we wait. Time flew by over a few pints in the sunshine and we were soon seated to our table on the decking under a huge umbrella. The staff were excellent. Very attentive to every table and the service was second to none. Food was also fantastic and we didn’t have long to wait despite how busy it was. Couldn’t recommend dessert enough, with an extensive dessert menu and the waiter happy to recommend what he thought the best on it. We enjoyed lunch so much we visited again for dinner that evening! Despite a very long queue, where we could enjoy drinks while we waited, the atmosphere was brilliant, and everyone in good form! Didn’t have long to wait again and with a different menu for dinner we had another fantastic meal. The staff, including this behind the bar, the security and management were all excellent. All very friendly and managed the entire Covid measures so well. We both felt safe but yet we’re able to feel some normality too! Couldn’t recommend Joe Wattys enough, for the staff and the food. Really excellent two meals there and it’s a credit to the staff for organising it so well and being responsible for feeding half the island so well and efficiently! Will definitely be backMore

Lovely welcoming staff during this difficult & busy time of the year, however we just had a bowl of mussels with our drinks which weren’t cleaned properly. We left all of the beards & grit on the side of the bowl & brought them to...our servers attention. We were offered no apology, we weren’t looking for anything off the bill but some acknowledgement should have been offered. Good job otherwise .More

Had a lovely lunch here. It's busy but the service is outstanding, the whole place runs like clockwork and they turn over the tables very quickly. Food is lovely and reasonably priced considering it's on an island. Most of the tables are sheltered which is...brilliant with the combination of Irish summer weather and Covid. Don't leave it too late if you want dinner here though, it's advertised as food til 9:30pm but we arrived at 7:30pm and their kitchen was closed.More

I have visited this pub a few times over the years and like it, live music, super atmosphere, great food and friendly staff. Visited for dinner last week after being turned away from another restaurant, bit of a queue but eventually got a table thanks...to Grace and her understanding of our situation. Had a great burger and chips washed down by a couple of very nice pints. Thanks for the warm welcome Grace. Beimid ar ais 😎More

We ate here on a hugely busy Saturday night, with people queuing down the road for tables. Staff were organised, good humoured and helpful. Local Aran island goats cheese salad was delicious and the cocktails were great. Can’t wait to go back when island is...fully opened upMore

Friendly & efficient staff as it was very busy. We waited 15-20minutes but it could be longer depending on the time you arrived. Drink was good. Food was standard pub grub, bit pricey.

Bhain méit liom agus mé fhéin an-taitneamh as an tráthnóna a chaith muid Tigh Watty ag deireadh mhí Meithimh. Bhí ardchaighdeán beatha againn agus d'ólamar scoth na dí tar éis lá aoibhinn a chaitheamh ag spaisteoireacht. Rinne na freastalaithe an-iarracht leis an nGaeilge agus muid...ag suí chun boird. Fíonnach oraibh ar fad agus beidh muid ar ais go luath! CharloMore

We enjoyed it so much, we went back a second night! Despite being very busy, this is a very well run establishment and all Covid 19 protocols were being implemented in a very efficient manner. The food is love;ly (lobster was outstanding) and teh staff...were all very friendly, and had time to talk to you. The owner, Grace, was present both nights, and was on top of everything. Well worth a visit!More

We had lunch & a beverage here recently, Both myself & my brother opted for seafood, him a crabmeat salad & myself steamed muscles with brown bread. Both were scrumptious & were washed down with a lager & an excellent pint of Guinness. The standard...of hygiene & care was excellent & full marks to the staff. Nár laga Dia sibh,More
