Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Cool place to hang and have a Drink and eat. It was quite busy and the food was delicious. We had fresh oysters and steamed muscles. The whole bar stopped to look once they came out because the smell was so awesome! Most locals go...there along with tourists so it was authentic.More

The experience could vary as wildly as the Atlantic. Fish of the day beware, I had cod followed by hake on the second nigh, did not taste like fresh fish from market more like catering supplied fried frozen kind, third dinner I had the burger,...but suspect it may of been pre cooked for an expected demand & left out warmed up for too long, burger was a bit dry, but not yet rubber like, chips and portions good. Drinks service, heard no complaints and was good all three times there. Think again about any notion to sit down all night, relax and enjoy, this can get very busy and with potential new dining customers lining up priorities perhaps could change to the detriment of existing customers. Ten others over 3 nights had dinner booked, with mixed reviews from one complimenting the staff, service, the mighty food to an overall mixed. But an unusual experience on the second night for the group, were seated separately on two tables, orders taken then one left waiting nearly 1 hour for food to arrive while the other table was quickly served, also on first night all were seated together on the centre tables, told move without notice to make room, dancing was starting.More

By far the worst customer service I’ve ever gotten in Ireland, and I’ve been to the country three times. Absolutely terrible and lazy staff. Avoid.

Stayed on Island with Family and was very disappointed with this place. Informed member of staff that we as family were coming back from lunch when we stopped earlier for coffee and snacks. When we returned staff member said to us sarcastically that she didnt...expect to see us back for lunch again. Ordered lunch and could not even get a side portion of coleslaw or or side portion of wedges unless we were have a dish with wedges. First impressions last and as I worked in hospitality for over 25 years alot has to be learned by inexperienced staff. A '' Hello'' or '' Thankyou'' means alot !!!More

I can’t believe we had to travel all the way to the Aran Islands on the last day of our vacation to get the best sandwich we had all week! The hand written daily special menu simply said “chicken burger with chips”. Four out of...the six of us ordered this and we all were surprised at how tasty it was. It was a grilled chicken fillet with a flavor explosion of toppings. I would eat that every day it was so good. The seafood chowder was also one of the top two we enjoyed, very creamy and delicious! Even though we had to sit outside on a picnic table because the pub area was full, I would do it again for that chicken sandwich. Eat here for lunch!!More
