Food quality and choices were very bad this time, my wife ordered her meal with a side of onion rings and was told she couldn't have them unless she got steak, my fish was a supermarket option with same style chips. As per usual the...staff very friendly and the Guinness is great, my only hope is the chef was having a bad day, always enjoyed eating/drinking here beforeMore

My husband and 2 kids stopped here for lunch recently. Even though it wasn't busy we still had to wait nearly 15 minutes for a server to come and take our order and then they were rude and hardly spoke any English at all. When...the food actually came, the order was wrong so had to be sent back again so we had to wait even longer. The burger was disgusting and tasted like rubber. My husband had fish and chips, the fish was absolutely rotten and certainly not fresh. Portions were also tiny so we were still hungry despite forking out nearly €100 on food and drink. The Guinness was good though but overall it was a bad experience. Very hard to communicate with staff or get their attention, maybe the fact they were all foreign because I didn't hear one Irish accent which was highly disappointing. I wouldn't recommend this pub to anyone.More

Such a great pub and good food! Sorry we couldn't stay for the evening music, which we heard was fun. But even without that, it was good food, great Guinness, and a fun place!

Our server was a lovely girl, and there was a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately the food did not live up to expectations. We ordered fish of the day which was pollock. It tasted okay, but looked like frozen fish from the supermarket. We queried this, and...eventually were told it was arrived like this from the fish supplier. We had far superior locally caught fish in the other places we dined and indeed from our local chipper in Limerick. Dessert was nice.More

Plus points Great Guinness Food very poor and overpriced. Considering set on an island quality of the 'fish' dishes were terrible

Loved my time in Joe Wattys pub. Would highly recommend!! Great atmosphere, great music and even better staff. Their security man Pat is the soundest security man I’ve ever met. He’s very good at his job.

We visited on a week night for dinner, and were served promptly. Marta was our server and she was helpful and friendly and so pleasant! Food was good. Seems like it would be a lively place during the summer!

We ate here on Saturday night. We had a lovely waiter who had great energy and looked after us well. Like anywhere on the island the food choice is limited but I had the special which was haddock and my partner had chowder. We enjoyed...both. They have the Aran gin there too and went to the trouble to serve it with rosemary, cucumber and seaweed. There was wonderful live music at 10pm. Overall we had a great evening.More
