Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My family and I went for lunch here . We walked upstairs to the restaurant which is situated in main Temple bar area . The service is quick friendly and professional and the servings are large and hearty . I had Irish stew with lamb...whilst my teens had chicken Caesar salad which they said was the best ever . This had a traditional feel to it which is why we chose it . Prices are standard Dublin prices .I would recommend this restaurantMore

The food grossly overpriced for tasteless pasta, The green Thai curry served with burnt chips when the order stated basmati rice, rice was duly brought, microwaved and in hard lumps. Avoid this overpriced third world offerings.

We’ve been here many times before and always had a great experience. This visit however was dreadful. It started well - we were seated outside, the nicest server, had cocktails and were served our starter. However our mains took over half an hour after we’d...finished our starters and we asked to be moved inside as it had got quite late. When the food came, my husbands wasn’t as he had ordered. And half his plate contained stone cold food. Two waiting asked how our food was and I explained the issues we’d had. No one came to try sort our issue. They then asked for us to pay our bill before we’d finished which I again complained about. The server apologised and said she’d asked the manager to come speak to us and she hadn’t. She asked if I still wanted to speak to the manager and I said it was too late as they had insisted the bill was paid. The manager came to speak to me anyhow, very aggressive and defensive. She offered us a round of drinks but we had already decided to leave. She didn’t offer any refund on the meal. They have risen the prices considerably following Covid so I expected a much better service.More

Let me start by saying the food used to be fab, we decided to get a take away joint if the day, it was scandless, 16€ for one lump of patatoe 2 carrots 2 parsnips and 2 pieces of meat, no stuffing no cabbage, not...only was it smaller than a kids portion the meat was that chewy, couldn’t even get a steak knife through it. I won’t eat from this place again ya be still hungry after ordering an adults meal. Should be ashamed of themselves ripping people off, Arcadia on the other hand is unrealMore

Waited well over an hour for my food to come while watching 5 sepearate tables who arrived after us get served their food first. When the food came you could tell it had been forgotten about under the pass. Outdoor area was dirty with chips...all around my seat from the previous table.More

The staff here are an absolute disgrace, would never step foot in the hole again. The overweight bar manager or glorified lounge boy or whatever he is is in the wrong trade. A bit of manners goes a long way, seemingly not in here and...for a Fitzgerald pub it's shocking.More

We have visited The Old Mill twice during covid 19 and we were very happy with the food and the service. The staff are wearing visors which made me feel safer. The cubicles are separated with perspex which is great. Food is always lovely. Would...recommend The Old Mill for an afternoon dinner.More

Went here for food on a friday evening. Great variety on the menu and good prices too. We just went for something simple but it was very nice i must say. Food came fairly quick which i was happy about. Great value for money. Staff...were not very helpful during the meal and the plates were left on the table for about 15 minutes after we finished. We also had to go up and ask for a dessert menu. This took away from the nice food served but were happy with the prices charged. Fix this and it would be greatMore

Well located in Old Bawn, Tallaght, on the main road by the traffic lights. Easy to see. Plenty of safe parking. Lovely inside, it is an old water mill and much has been preserved. There are a lot of other things going on and a...good mix of decor. I chose turkey and ham etc. A lovely amount of food, roasties and mash, lots of veg. There is a good selection at the bar. Staff are very friendly. An 'average' mark as this is exactly as it should be and there were no 'frills'. I would happily return.More

I have been here a few times and have had the steak on the stone as I find it hard to order anything else as it is always so good. Good quality tender steak and nice sides. Always friendly staff and good service.
