Had Breakfast here last Sunday, it’s sooo expensive, I got 2 poached eggs, 1 sausage and 1 rasher for 10.50…They have nothing of interest on the menu, it’s all just variations of a fry up at different prices. Don’t bother

What has happened to the Anvil ? Is it under new ownership ? Totally shocked at the food. Ordered pizza , barely any toppings on the pizza, one leaf of basil broken on four places. Chicken tenders overcooked and very oily like the oil was...overused. Really the worst pizza I've had. And you can't go wrong with pizza ? Toppings extremely sparse...will not go back again. Price does not reflect the produce. Anvil renowned for it's good food over the years. Very sad. Will not return.More
OK enough food if you are in the area and hungry. But rip off prices, 17€ for a chicken burger and 8€ for dessert
We rang ahead to book in and explained my dad had Alzheimer’s, they gave us a really perfect booth away from all the noise and right beside the toilet! The food was absolutely gorgeous and the cocktails!! Most of all, there’s a really relaxed, beautiful...atmosphere there, the staff were amazing so attentive and lovely people! Highly recommendMore
Went here for a bit of breakfast and it did not dissappoint. They had a lovely selection and the staff were very helpful. I got the Full Irish breakfast and my eldest daughter got pancakes and the youngest got sausages which they enjoyed very much....We also didn't have a booking but they still found a way to fit us in even though they were busy. We'll definitely be back.More
Had confirmation celebrations here yesterday. As always the food and service was truly amazing. Thankyou all...you never fail to deliver.....
Had breakfast with my family on Sunday morning. Spotlessly clean food was fresh & perfectly cooked. Highly recommend.
Called in this morning for brekkie , was very busy for outside dining but they managed to get us a nice table . My daughter loved the pan cakes and the full irish was gorgeous. Staff so friendly and service was second to none as...always . Thank youMore
Went for family meal on Father’s Day. The waiter handed menu gave us time to order I order the hot chicken burger and for dessert lemon meringue pie. When another table beside us got menu off different waiter she told them about specials on that...day, which we were never told about, bit dissatisfied. Over all had nice enjoyable day. Should have menu specials on board outside.More
I hadn't been to the Anvil in months so I was passing yesterday. It was that long since I had their chicken curry I forgot how delicious it was! It was served with chips, rice and naan bread so it hit the spot! Sandra and...staff were very friendly as usual so I look forward to going again when we finally get back to the office!More
I visited here with some work colleagues after an event in the nearby City West Hotel, we have lunch and it was fantastic, the staff are ever so friendly and helpful and the service was excellent.
With 2 toddlers in tow, my husband and I called in for brunch yesterday. We did not have a reservation and the restaurant seemed very busy but this was no problem for the staff, who seated us quickly and were very attentive. The kids menu...was fantastic, and the normal menu had a great selection. The kids were starving after swimming in the nearby Citywest Hotel, but thankfully we did not have to wait long for the food. The staff were so friendly and the service was great. But to top it all, the food was so gorgeous!! We all had a delicious dessert too. This was the first time in a long time that my toddlers ate every bite on their plate. Any time we are anywhere near Dublin we always make a point of coming here, would highly recommend, 10/10More
We ate here yesterday for my mams anniversary & I have to say the experience from the moment we walked in to leaving was 5 star, the food was amazing and nothing was a problem as some didn't want certain items on their plate. The...service was brilliant we had a very efficient and pleasant guy serving us & the whole atmosphere in the place was one of friendliness and the food was really fresh and tasty and the portions were of a very good size. We will definitely be back.More
Four adults in our breakfast party at a pretty full restaurant on Thursday. We didn’t book not expecting it to be so popular midweek but a table was found for us. The service was very good and the food, a full Irish breakfast, not to...be faulted in anyway. I would certainly recommend it and will be sure to revisit when in Saggart.More
Called in for breakfast Saturday morning. Greeted warmly and seated. Service was friendly and pleasant. Breakfast was well cooked with high quality ingredients. Filter coffee was weak and the only (slight) critique. Il be back
