Decor is definitely old style and authentic. Nothing old style about the prices! No problem for wealthy Dalkeyites but a shock for a modest visitor.

A must visit when you arrive in Dalkey. Great atmosphere, great pint of Guinness. Excellent place to watch a rugby match. Well run pub with excellent, experienced staff. Great food menu if you are feeling peckish.

Good food and friendly service, always a great buzz in this place. Tip: reserving a table a must on Saturdays/Sundays. Also good for a pint anytime!

To those of you unable to hire a car and who are looking for an affordable way of seeing Dublin's coastline try taking the Dart (train) southbound to Killiney and walk back northwards towards Dalkey, for here you'll find one of Dublin's top Family run restaurants. The weather wasn't great on our visit so the walk from Killiney to Dalkey... More

Love going to this place. One of my favourite pubs in Dublin. It can always be topped and tailed with a good walk. Staff are brilliant and the speed of service is some of the best in the world I'm sure.

Dalkey, a very pretty seaside town is home to this very typical Irish pub. Almost prototypical decor inside is comfortingly familiar. Had a nice lunch: carrot and coriander soup and then corned beef mains. Both lovely. Service was friendly and polished. And the Guinness was cold!

We've been in Ireland less than 4 days now, and have already eaten lunch twice at Finnegans. A word of caution for all you first-timers like us -- they only serve food until 3 PM daily, so don't plan on having an evening meal here unless you are planning to dine of Guinness. :-) On our first visit I had... Not our first visit to this eatery -this was a family lunch in Finnegans - pre-booked - and was a very enjoyable culinary experience recently. Our waiting staff were excellent - thank you Amy- and service was great. From the tasty brown bread to the delicious starters, the fish pie was exactly that! Though only two of us opted for... More

Traditional home cooked local food served in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Sea food to die for! Recommend scampi the best even so far!
