Sopapilla's in Hendersonville closed Sunday after almost four years at the Streets of Indian Lake. Owner Steve Dale said the restaurant wasn't making enough money to stay in the space. "There's a lot of growth (in Hendersonville) but there's got to be a balance," Dale said during a Wednesday phone interview. "Some office (space) to drive lunch traffic will help that... More

Ambiance contributes to 1/2-1 of stars as they definitely did that part well. I have been here for 2 done-in meals and 1 to-go. The food is OK, they also offer a gluten-free menu (but is only available in person last time I checked.) The chips are pretty good and definitely fresh, the salsa is good but nothing extraordinary, the... More

This place is a stones throw from my front door so I really want to like it. We went on New Year's Eve and it wasn't overly busy. We were seated without a reservation within 30 minutes. I did notice the table we sat at was available for most of our wait. We ordered drinks and the server told us... More

The atmosphere, the table side quac, baja tacos, and the Sopapilla Margarita's are amazing! My husbands choice is the Sopapilla platter. I highly recommend this place when you want a new flare on mexican food.

Have eaten here quite a few times since they opened. Love the decor but have a hard time with the lighting sometimes...struggles reading the menus. Love the quesadillas! Sophias come with your meal...and they are good!

Sopapilla's is an authentic Mexican restaurant with New Mexico style Mexican food. The restaurant is more upscale than you would usually find with local Mexican restaurants, but still very reasonably priced. If you are familiar with New Mexico Mexican, you are wondering about hatch green chili. YES they have hatch green chili The ambience of the restaurant is very nice,... More

Eleven of us had dinner here while in town for a conference. Great place. Wonderful atmosphere. Food was very good. Salsa was really good. Unfortunately, the service was poor. Waitress had too many tables to handle and seemed inexperienced. I would overlook that and give it a try.

If you're a seafood lover you'll love the Baja tacos with their Baja sauce. You won't regret getting the shrimp quesadilla. Great atmosphere and great waitstaff.

Not your normal Mexican restaurant. The choices are more unique but have been delicious. Good food each time we've been there, but pricey.
