Good food, cold beer, a very nice and attentive staff, and always a good selection of local musicians/songwriters.

I go to listen to music at Kimbro's Cafe about once a month. It's casual, the food is good, the service is good, it's just a comfortable place to hear local musicians. In the last few years it has become more difficult to find a small venue for local music, but Kimbro's does it and does it well.

Too cute. If you work up a thirst antiquing, this the place for you. If you feel like picking they have a selection of guitars, etc for you to play. Cold beer at reasonable prices and a tasty but small menu.

from the 100 year old door bell in this cnverted house to jam sessions on the porch, fresh music in the back room, family kitchen for dinner, fun bar, new friends, front row to old and new talent in historic Franklin. This could be the coolest place & neatest people ever! If you go here and find anything that compares... More

Checked it out on a Saturday evening. Cramped and crowded, but the band was oh so sweeeet! The cover was only $5, the bar is extreeeemely limited (2 vodkas, 1 tequila, 2 whiskeys) - and I don't like drinking out of a plastic cup, but that's just me. We had a group of 8 and ordered pizza, fried pickles (wouldn't... More

When we went in to see Kimbro's, we paid a $10 cover charge for the bands that were lined up. You never know what type of music you will hear here but a place you need to visit. it's a small casual laid back environment for the artist at heart.

What a crazy diversion this place is! We had a nice lunch here (thanks, Groupon) and enjoyed a terrible band along with a nice and up-and-coming duo. The owners don't quite understand the capitalist system, as they are relying on donations to fix additional rooms in the place, rather than improving their menu, which leads to more sales/profits and would... My husband and I saw Amy LaVere and Will Sexton play here for our first visit to Kimbro's. We loved it! We knew we would love the music, being long-time fans, but the venue was a pleasure, too. The decor is colorfully eclectic and the food is good pub fare ... especially the American Burger.

We get to Kimbro's, usually for songwriters' night on Tuesday, regularly since we moved to the area 7 months ago. Never disappointed. But it is the relaxed atmosphere and variety of music we hear that we come back for, not the menu. Menu? It was a laminated card, with mostly appetizers and burgers. Most recently it was single sheet printouts... More
