We ate at the Park restaurant for lunch on a Holiday weekend. (The Saturday before Easter) . We had a beautiful view of the lake and abundant geese below us. We ordered off the menu and food arrived in about 15 minutes. The hamburger and chicken tenders were good. The onion rings were excellent. The patio area is dog friendly.... More

We visited on a Friday night and they were packed but we were served right away. We had the buffet (southern catfish was featured) and were able to get right in line at the buffet table. Everything we had was great. Service was fantastic as well.

Visited this park as a child & attended several family reunions here. It was enjoyable then, even more so now. My husband & I explored the short hiking trail, looking forward to enjoying a longer one the next time we visit. The added amenities since my childhood is impressive. With the hiking trails, playground, canoeing, swimming, fishing and camping facility... More

Like eat some good food in the restaurant overlooking the water, or hike the different trails. Or camp or stay in a cabin. We have our annual family reunion at the rec lodge next to the pool. Lovely setting. Helpful staff. We always have fun there.

We walked over 4 miles on the red and the yellow trails. Nothing too strenuous but climbed over a fallen tree here and there. The trail is hard-packed dirt and occasional rocks. It follows Byrd Creek, crosses a couple places, and returns ending up right by that gorgeous historic damn/bridge. Great area for pictures! After our hike we drove through... More

This was my first time eating at the Homestead harvest Restaurant at Cumberland Mountain State Park. I had heard about the restaurant before and was given a favorable review to go. My first trip through the buffet line I tried the roast with mashed potatoes and gravy, the fried fish, the baked fish, a hushpuppy and cole slaw. The roast... More

This restraunt has a large selection of buffet food, but it is only average tasting. The restraunt is located in a beautiful park where you can dine and enjoy the beauty of nature. The price is average. We go occassionally to enjoy the beauty of the park.

When we want to eat some of the best ribs around, we travel about 45 minutes to Cumberland Mountain State Park on Saturday evenings. Ribs are the draw but all the food is good and the view is relaxing as you enjoy your meal. The southern charm and greeting comes at no cost as well as the opportunity to enjoy... More

The Friday night buffet is a very popular. The variety is excellent and we especially like the fish. You can expect traditional Southern food including the banana pudding. There are no reservations so be prepared to wait a bit. It is worth it.
