We always try to eat at a local place in a new town. We had had a long day and were tired and hungry. Dempsey' was perfect for a good hot meal with house brewed beer. I had the boxty with chicken. Huge, hot and very good. Loved to potato pancakes. My husband had fish and chips and also enjoyed... More

Stopped in for a cold drink and something light, beer was cold, food just "ok" and service almost nonexistent, staff seemed preoccupied with friends and each other...we will not bother stopping in again or referring..

Dempsey's is a one of a kind place. There are not many places you can eat in which almost everything is made from scratch; even their bread! On top of it all, they have authentic Irish food to please anyone from any culture. I brought a group of people that came from downtown Manhattan, New York that directly said: "I... More

So had the Fish and Chips tonight for the first time. The fish was wonderful tasty crispy lightly battered and the flavor of the Guinness was evident. The atmosphere was great. so to the down side and why I can't give them 5 stars tonight is the Chips found them to be blaaa when you advertise as an English or Irish... More

This is an Irish pub with a very unique historic interior. This is definitely a cozy place to enjoy a warm meal on a chilly South Dakota afternoon. We loved the crunchy beer-battered cod. The batter had a mouth-watering batter. The thick-cut fries were fresh and hot. The service was friendly and attentive.

I heard from some locals I was training with that this was a great place for pizza, but I was by myself and couldn't justify spending $25 on pizza and throwing the majority out as my hotel lacked the accommodations for food storage. I ordered some sort of steak sandwich which was rather blase, even for a steak sandwich. The... More

The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. I was only going to give it 4.5 stars because I generally reserve 5 stars for only the very best. But then they brought out Andes mints after the meal and there was no way they weren't going to get 5 stars.

We were greeted immediately by a charming hostess, taking us to a cozy corner booth which we found comfortable, quite, and with a view of the whole restaurant! Our server was very helpful, quick, and just sweet! Greatest Potato Pancakes since Grandma D's! Oh,yes, with three choices to pick from of chicken, beef steak, or sauerkraut & cornbeef! Dad loved...
