The beer was mediocre. Lousy selection. No pale ale and no wheat beer. The beef and potatoes loaf was way overpriced at 13. Should have been 8. Service was mediocre. Tourist shop on site sells junk t shirts etc. You can find better places than this for dinner in Rapid City.

After a activity full day while visiting family, it was decided that we we wanted to try a place we hadn't been before to eat. That decision was the Firehouse Brewing Co. It did not disappoint. We started off with the Pork con Queso with chips appetizer. Followed by a Buffalo Bleu Burger for me, the Firefighter for my daughter... More

The beer bread served with our appetizer was delicious. The food was excellent with ample portions. The restaurant was dimly lit and multi level. I did not notice an elevator. May be challenging for compromised vision or walking.

Ok, so the many vintage firetrucks on I90 are some of the best advertising I've ever seen. Got my interest. We went on a Wednesday night. Service was very good, food was ok. Had an Irish Red lager, it was tasty. I had a Reuben which was pretty good, the dressing was a little odd but was on the side... More

I read the comments on TA and Google. Decided to give it a try after a long day in the Black Hills. Very good food with huge portions. My son and I split one of the combo platters. We are pretty big eaters and just finished it.

It's a shame because the building is so nice but the experience was awful. I tried the ranchers pie which they described as having a healthy portion of tender beef steak chunks sandwiched between mashed potatoes. When the dish came, I wound up getting a big bowl of mashed potatoes and gravy. I literally could not find a single piece... More

Dinner was great, but their ads are even better. We passed at least a dozen vintage fire trucks promoting Firehouse Brewing and knew we had to support that. Great meal, excellent service, our only disappointment was that we were too old for the plastic fire hats. The Firehouse beers and cider were excellent, and the root beer was pretty darned... More

Great food and service. I am completely bewildered why anyone would give this establishment a bad review unless it, was just an off night. We had 14 people in our party, we ordered various meals and drinks and everyone was completely satisfied. next tim,e i am in Rapid City i will return to Firehouse for a meal and drink.

Description
"The Firehouse," as it is called by locals, is one of the city's most unique and interesting landmarks. -Housed within the original Rapid City firehouse, a structure built of four layer brick in 1915, the building is listed on the National Historic Register. We offer a full service restaurant and bar with indoor and outdoor dining. Experience a vibrant atmosphere with live entertainment by local musicians in addition to live theatre most Friday and Saturday evenings (view our website for a list of upcoming events). Of course, the Main attraction at the Firehouse is our uniquely flavored, hand crafted beers along with a menu of the Midwest's favorite dishes. With culinary selections ranging from salads and BBQ to buffalo and gumbo, there is something for everyone at the Firehouse Brewing Company.
