Great location, right on the main strip with outdoor seating so you can watch the world go by. Service was poor. Food was ok. This is probably more a place to come to for drinking than it is for eating. Other choices in town are...More

Lots of beer options. Some food but low quality & limited. I got the nachos, appeared to be made with Velveeta and Campbell's soup, raw onions. Outdoor seating on main street, loud motorcycles park in front, so there are times that you cannot hear yourself...More

Yep.. There are motorcycles on our Main Street and raw diced onion on our super nachos. Plenty of inside seating if the street noise is annoying.

Went there thinking the menu would offer more variety, but it's really a bar with limited selections. No salads, no pizza, but good cold beer, friendly service, etc. Took our teenage son, not the right place for families, but most definitely the right place for...More

Thank you so much Dawn. We still have a few kinks to work out this season, but I am very grateful for your nice review. I'm glad you had a pleasant experience at the Mangy Moose and I hope you'll come back and see us!

Stopped in at the mangy moose for lunch with my husband. They only accept cash - which wasn't a big deal as there is an ATM inside. (Although it wouldn't work for any of my cards for some reason). The staff here completely ignored me....More

It must all depend on how busy they are. Our service was top notch and the food (Burrito and Nachos) was excellent. We were there at 3 pm so maybe things aren't so great when they are packed. For us, we were very pleased. It...More

Walked into this place to get lunch, first had to deal with wise cracking singer out front. Once inside, the place smelled like stale beer. Couldn't get waited on as the waitress was more interested with the bikers at the bar. The staff looks like...More

Hello Michael... I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience at the Mangy Moose. I apologize if the singer on the patio offended you in any way.. He is an entertainer and was there for the weekend. As far as "stale beer",...More

Description
Mangy Moose has been owned and operated by a single woman for over 20 years. We spent those years becoming the best bar in the southern hills, and offered your typical bar menu of burgers and appetizers. We have grown to a place that sells burgers, Mexican food and a great ribeye steak on the outdoor grill. Our cooking facilities are minimal and it is sometimes difficult to keep up with the high volume of hungry customers. Our food is good and most things are made fresh from scratch, but we have the most square footage on the block and a lot of steps to get food and drinks for the hundreds and hundreds of people that stop by each day. We love to have you visit the Mangy Moose and have a good time, but if you are in a hurry... you may sometimes be disappointed in the wait. There is usually live entertainment on the outside stage to enjoy, with a full liquor bar. Please keep in mind that we are doing the best we can with the facilities and staff that we have. We are a BAR with a limited menu, that happens to sell food, and not a RESTAURANT that sells alcohol. Everything on our menu is good and we have specialty foods that you can't get at any ordinary restaurant. If you are in a hurry and looking for a large menu, we are probably not what you are looking for. But if you are looking for a great place to sit on the outdoor patio and people watch, or a great place to enjoy a cocktail, a beer, or a glass of wine and have a bite to eat... you won't be disappointed.
