Very welcoming and friendly staff. All the wines I tasted were very good. Hard to decide what to try much less buy they were that good. No hard sell was nice. Worth a stop to relax and sip some award winning wines.

Had a pleasant visit tasting the various wines. The wine servers were very informative on the selections available and helpful for "newby" wine tasters. Some of the wine names were catchy for discussion. Bottle prices were reasonable and $ discounts increased based on the volume...More

Wines were all pretty good. The server was nice enough but not overly engaging. The facility was very nice. Wish we would have had more time to try the food or visit the brewery.

I was traveling with a 'wine snob' from Southern CA. She was hesitant to try wines in SD. But, it was about to storm so we decided to stop and give it a shot. We were both so glad that we did! The traditional wines...More

Absolutely great wine, free tastings. Friendly staff, can get very busy in the summer. Good food, but spendy for what you get (if you order a sandwich, there is no sides, not even chips or pickles and costs $12.) Order the lunch deal with half...More

If you want to have some fun tasting regional wines this is the place. Persons of drinking age can sample five wines of their choice. The winery has a good selection of reds and whites. Most of the wines lean to the sweet end but...More

Free wine tasting with good wine. Clean, pleasant environment. Fun place to visit. Would have really enjoyed it except some staff (ours) were disorganized, flustered and a bit inattentive. We were rushed through the experience. Probably would have spent some money if we'd had more...More

I'm glad we went here to try the wines, but I was not impressed with the food. I had a smoked salmon sandwich which was very small with a very basic Caesar salad. With my drink (alcoholic) it was almost $20. Definitely not worth the...More

The winery is a wonderful place to visit. They offer free samples and discuss each of the wines you sample. They have a variety of wines that are available to purchase and also have a small cafe that offers food. I would go back again!

We really enjoyed our visit to Prairie Berry Winery, and we are not great wine drinkers. They provide a long list of their wines from which to select a few for tasting. You get a good sampling of what they have to offer.

Ronald, Great question, and it looks like there have been several great answers already! Most of our wines range in price from $14 to $25, although some of the wines available exclusively to our wine club members and those... More

Description
Experience our award-winning wines in a fun and relaxed setting in the heart of the Black Hills. Find us three miles northwest of Hill City on Highway 385, just a few miles from Mount Rushmore National Memorial and Crazy Horse Memorial. We’re Hill City’s only working winery and Sandi Vojta, our fifth generation winemaker, handcrafts each wine, often using old family recipes, just a few steps from our Tasting Room. Start your Prairie Berry Winery experience with a free wine tasting of up to five of our award-winning wines, including our Anna Pesä handcrafted traditional European wines, at our Tasting Bars. We produce a variety of wines in styles for every palate – from crisp, dry wines and robust, oak-aged reds to sweet, fruity varieties. Our Kitchen offers housemade menu items including gluten-free, vegetarian and kids’ options. Menu selections pair perfectly with our wines, vary with the season and many of our ingredients are sourced locally. Enjoy a meal on our patio with our beautiful views of Black Elk Peak (formerly Harney Peak). Our brewery, Miner Brewing Company, is located next door.
