We went in for a wine tasting and had a very knowledgeable young man educate us on their wines. Spacious area to sample wine or order something to eat from their interesting menu. Gift shop and pleasant people to help ring up your purchases.

The winery was everything we could wish for. On our trip from Chicago to Black Hills we found it difficult to find restaurant-food, that was not either deepfried foods, pizzas or burgers. Prairie Berry different and a great pleasure to visit. Dont forget to taste...More

Stopped here this weekend with 3 couples and all the kids. We tasted wines and ended up signing up for the wine club. Judy was so much fun and extremely knowledgeable about their products. Kids had great time as well.

Great grounds, porch, and patio. We sat out on the patio where they welcomed our dog. You go to the counter and purchase lunch and a bottle of wine. They also have wine tasting before you order. It was a very pleasant experience.

Had a nice time doing a free wine tasting with my husband. Really enjoyed the regional specialties of rhubarb and chokecherry wines. I tried the dry reds (my true loves) and found them nice but overpriced. The sweeter wines and regional twists seem to be...More

Had a very nice time tasting some of the wineries finest. A little disappointed in the attitudes of a few of the employees, we weren't even acknowledged for about half an hour and we actually had to ask for help with information we wanted

Just cozy up to the “bar” and fill out your choices for free wine tasting – five tastes person. We ended up buying a few bottles to take with us. Here’s the warning… my husband and I were camping. We were set to travel through...More

Thanks so much for including us in your plans during your summer trip to the Black Hills! You are correct that we recommend keeping wine out of extreme temperatures, both hot and cold. To protect the integrity of the wine you've purchased, we recommend keeping...More

The food here is exceptional as is the service. Their wine and the pairing suggestions make it an experience one won't forget. Highly recommend.

Ronald, Great question, and it looks like there have been several great answers already! Most of our wines range in price from $14 to $25, although some of the wines available exclusively to our wine club members and those... More

Experience our award-winning wines in a fun and relaxed setting in the heart of the Black Hills. Find us three miles northwest of Hill City on Highway 385, just a few miles from Mount Rushmore National Memorial and Crazy Horse Memorial. We’re Hill City’s only working winery and Sandi Vojta, our fifth generation winemaker, handcrafts each wine, often using old family recipes, just a few steps from our Tasting Room. Start your Prairie Berry Winery experience with a free wine tasting of up to five of our award-winning wines, including our Anna Pesä handcrafted traditional European wines, at our Tasting Bars. We produce a variety of wines in styles for every palate – from crisp, dry wines and robust, oak-aged reds to sweet, fruity varieties. Our Kitchen offers housemade menu items including gluten-free, vegetarian and kids’ options. Menu selections pair perfectly with our wines, vary with the season and many of our ingredients are sourced locally. Enjoy a meal on our patio with our beautiful views of Black Elk Peak (formerly Harney Peak). Our brewery, Miner Brewing Company, is located next door.
