Good food with large sandwiches, lukewarm soup, servers that kept trying to clear the table while we were eating and didn't bring the ordered beer.More

Our daughter took me out for an early Mother's Day lunch at Five Loaves in Summerville, SC. The restaurant is in a cute house with good parking. I had a half of a turkey sandwich with Mexican chili. My husband got half of a Reuben...sandwich with the herbed tomato/crab soup and our daughter got a half veggie burger with a salad. Everything was absolutely excellent with generous portions. We like the option of whole or half sandwiches, allowing us to mix and match with other items such as soup or salad. We did not get dessert, although it was mighty tempting watching the gorgeous, yummy-looking desserts that went by. Next time. Service was a tad bit slow, as our drinks sat for a while behind the bar before they were brought out and we had to remind our server. As you can see from the photos, they were not busy, so there really was no excuse. It's just an awareness thing and a minor issue. Perhaps they had a new server, so will give benefit of the doubt. I highly recommend this restaurant. Would definitely eat here again.More

You can expect great food at Five Loaves Cafe plus great service at the bar! Recommend the grilled chicken salad. Has blueberries in it. Healthy choice. Not a lot of room in the restaurant so arrive early if possible for best seating.

Went to Five Loaves With a friend for lunch. I had a chicken sandwich which was very good and she had a salad with salmon and chicken which she enjoyed also. Service was excellent. The only thing I didn't like was that there no sides...like fries or chips or pickles with your sandwich which for the price I thought was a bit strange. Otherwise a good choice.More

We live in Clearwater Florida. Every time we visit my son and his family in Summerville, we have to eat at Five Loaves. The manager, wait staff and quality of food is excellent.

When we arrived at the establishment the wait wasn’t that bad; BUT they did not offer the food on their menu that i as a vegan could only eat as there is only one option for vegans on the entire menu even though they preach...health and fresh food. My friend on the other hand ordered half cesar salad and got no offer of dressing but was clearly charged for said dressing after asking for dressing in the first place. Our food quality was poor- my spinach was a bit shriveled, the tortellini has the taste of dirt, the half sandwich had enough enough meat for 3 sandwiches and offered little to no onions that was advertised in the menu. Also, the sourdough the sandwich was on was soggy not toasted as the waitress offered. This will be my first and LAST time going to this establishment.More

We were visiting Charleston and had finished visiting Magnolia & Middleton. We enjoyed Five Loaves so much, we decided to go to the Summerville location. This was the first day of the COVID-19 dine-in closure, so we ordered to-go. We parked outside and the waitress...brought our food to us. I liked their commitment to slowing the spread of the virus while maintaining their business and customer service. Of course, the food was great, too! I'm vegetarian and my friend is not, but we both enjoyed our food. I ordered the 1/2 Tomato & Fresh Mozzarella salad with roasted garlic balsamic and a bowl of potato soup, while my friend ordered the same salad with shrimp and a 1/2 Chicken Salad Club. This location also has a parking lot, or you can walking around and enjoy the cute town square a few blocks away.More
