Been here a few times over the years. It has been pushed up (in the cost category) since I last went. Food is good, I wouldn't say great but in an area with virtually no where else to eat, it is a refreshing option.

Good seafood and other items out in the middle of no where. Very good salad bar! Get's busy so get there early. Have been going here for at least 15 years. In this time frame service and quality has remain pretty consistent.

Too far to drive to the coast? Go to the Windmill Restaurant. Great seafood. We go there often & have for many years. They're open Thursday thru Sunday.

If you are looking for fancy, drive on. If you are looking for real: park and come on in. If you are looking for a good diverse menu: this works. If you are looking for a friendly wait staff with a real smile and honest friendliness: this is a good place for this. Good eats, simply and true; It works.

My husband and I live on the Camden side of the lake, but we drive an hour to eat dinner at the Windmill. The restaurant is clean, the waitresses are very attentive and the food is served fresh, hot and delicious. By the time you have made your salad, your food is on your table. The only negative we have... More

Who would have thought you would find a great seafood place in the Midlands of South Carolina? We have eaten here for many years and it's one of the best kept secrets. Parking is tight especially on Friday nights and after church on Sundays, but it's worth it. It's one of those local places you ride by and wonder about... More

The atmosphere is pleasant, the food is great and the price is reason and even has hot/spicy jelly but you pay by the bowl. The fried mushrooms, scallops, shrimp and loaded bake potatoes are all my favorites. If you need or want a little entertainment stop by on Thursday. I have and enjoyed!!!

It seems some of the best (and least expensive) seafood restaurants are far from the coast. The Windmill is off the beaten path and a long way to drive from where I live, but it is well worth the trip when I am in the mood for great shrimp. Their menu is expansive, but the seafood baskets are great deals... More

This restaurant seems to have it together great waiting staff good food and speedy service. I love how it is standalone and gives you a great ride to it and the way home is just a hop skip and a jump through the woods. I believe you will have to go see it for yourself to understand what I'm talking... More

We've been going to the Windmill Restaurant in Ridgeway, SC for several years and it is simply amazing the quality of seafood available here. While they do a really good job with burgers and other dishes, their salad bar is outstanding but the oyster platter is the best I've had and I've had it numerous time. It's as good or... More
