Lots of ambience, delicious food and beverages, specialty sandwiches and nice location in Hammond's Ferry. The best ice tea, good wine, a smallish place that can get pretty busy but well worth it.

We have been coming to Manuel’s for years. We noticed on our last 2 visits that the service was lacking a little. However, our visit tonight was absolutely terrible. It took us over 2 hours to receive food. We had to go inside and track...the waitress down 3 times. Once to order drinks after sitting forever, once to order food, and once to tell her we needed the bill. Our party of 6 won’t be back to Manuel’s. We never would have expected the restaurant to go this downhill.More

We have become regulars at Manuel's for Sunday Brunch - lovely outdoor seating, great food choice and always great service. Also a good location for lunch and dinner - food is fresh and beautifully served.

Their Sunday brunch is a special treat. The Eggs Benedict are delicious. The hamburgers are also very good. The French fries seem French, and are excellent. (We order the French fries unsalted, since there is a lot of salt in ketchup.) Everything we have had...there has been good. (We don't know if they still offer salade nicoise - it was out-of-this-world wonderful.) There is currently only outdoor seating, which is limited. It is comfortable and enjoyable. Our servers were attentive and friendly. It is not the place for a fast meal - it does take time to cook the food. Be sure to make a reservation.More

Way too expensive for what it is. The “leg of lamb” day’s special was very disappointing. The SLICED meat was on the dry side, the “cuscus” ( was it a cuscus?) was tasteless . I didn’t even finish. The wine is expensive for what it...is and the silver palm we ordered, though ranked pretty good on Vivino, knocked us off (a sign for a bad, or at least young, wine). The coffee and chocolate raspberry cake were good and so was the service. Ok but underwhelming... Come for coffee and a cake but not for food and wine...More

Very Disappointing today. We had a reservation at 2:00. We stood and waited as several people walked past us and didn’t even speak. It took waitress forever to come to us. We asked could we get the charcuterie board and she said let me ask...the chef. We ordered drinks. She was gone forever again and comes back with drinks. She then tells us the chef is on phone and he has to give permission to make. She even said it only takes about 5 minutes to make. We continue waiting. She walks by again and I called out and asked is he off phone. I had about had it. I asked her can you ask him to get off and help us. She said Manuel would not like that. So I asked her would Manuel like hungry upset customers. It gets even better she finally came back and says nope chef can’t. We almost got up payed for our drinks but we so hungry. We had been there close to 45mins at this point. We both ordered the shrimp and grits. They tasted good but weren’t that hot and the biscuits were cold. She never even asked would we like more drinks. It was all unbelievable. We have always had wonderful service and hot food when we have dined here before.More

Dinner was delicious. Lambchop Lolipops and Tile Fish were both delicious as were all our side dishes. Highly recommend.

The food is amazing, but the service was awful. I've been to Manuel's before and have had great service. However, tonight we had a reservation at 8. Once we were seated, we had to wait 20 mins for a server to come and once she...did she had an awful attitude towards us. We ordered three drinks and were only brought 2. The waitress came periodically and when we had questions about the menu, she was not helpful and had very short answers. She checked the tables around us 3-4 times before she came to us. We waited another 20 minutes after receiving our food to tell her our order was incorrect. She then said nothing but "okay" and turned around and walked away. There was a second waitress there that helped her bring out food that whispered to her "I'm so f------ tired of this table" when neither of them barely served us. Once we finally got our checks, we were overcharged. They charged us for two extra drinks that were not ordered. We would have liked to order more drinks and food from them, but they rarely came back around and when they did, the server had a terrible attitude. I use to love to go to Manuel's, but I will not be returning after one of the worst serving experiences I've had at a restaurant.More
