I’ve been to the area several times over the years, but this was my first time at Cafe Old Vienna. The Bratwurst and Sauerkraut entree that I had was very good and my wife enjoyed her Schnitzel dish. Her spaetzels were fresh and really well...prepared. Our server, Serge, was engaging and efficient. We were glad we sat in the Biergarten area because, like other reviewers have noted, the CDC guidelines didn’t appear to be consistently followed indoors (e.g., hostess with no face covering, tables close together, staff with only mouth or chin covered).More

As someone who has spent a great deal of time in Germany, I can say this is absolutely not authentic German food. The weisswurst was not even in the traditional casing and it had a weird smoky flavor. Traditional weisswurst is super mild and very...soft in texture, which makes it common for one to slurp it right out of the casing. No respectable German would serve it without the terrine. The mustard was American, the pretzels were likely from a box and heated up, and the schnitzel was dry as hard leather. I did give it three stars for the amazing staff. The reviews from others seem to be great, so I am assuming other dishes are better.More

As we have found on many previous visits to Cafe Old Vienna (both current and former locations), the food was delicious (excellent rating) but not being ready to eat inside yet, we ordered to go through seamless, that Cafe Old Vienna has decided to use...for delivery and pick up. Although on the order, I checked off curbside pickup, on arriving at the restaurant, I called and was told that there was no curbside pickup, but after some confusion, they found my order and brought it out to me. On arriving home, I found that the two dessert items, apple strudel and Vienna chocolate cake, were missing. I immediately called the restaurant, was told that I could come back for the missing items, but instead I asked for a refund for them. In addition, I received a survey from seamless, and told them about the missing items. Since over two weeks have now elapsed with no refund, my overall rating which would have been excellent can only be average, due to the above issues. Fortunately, the Styria plate, that two of us ordered, the Jager-Schnitzel, and the order of Spaetzle with gravy were delicious. As a result, we plan to return to Cafe Old Vienna, when we feel comfortable to once again do indoor dining, but will NEVER order again from any restaurant that uses seamless.More

We stopped on a whim just to try something new & different and are we glad we did. The food was delicious & the service was great. We knew basically nothing about German/Hungarian food and Cafe Old Vienna has made us fans. I would encourage...anyone, especially newbies like us, to give it a try, you won't be disappointed.More

Ever since living in Germany for 3 years, we've been in search for great German food. We found this place while back and returned this year. Delicious and very authentic German Food! I had the Veal Schnitzel with cranberry sauce, spatzle, and Rot Kraut. My...wife had the Breaded Leberkaese. We enjoyed dining in the out doors Bier Garten experience with German music. Our waitress was excellent and in all it was as last time, a very good meal. With the Apple Strudel we split at the end, the dinner ran 48.61. I highly recommend this restaurant.More

We had a taste for something different than the standard fare available and were completely satisfied by our choice. Jonathon, our waiter, made several excellent suggestions that we followed that enhanced the experience. We started with a flight of 7 German/Austrian beers that focused our tastes on...the best choice for our meal. While we sampled 3 different warm breads with butter we chose the best beer for the meal. For $16.95 my wife had the Jaeger Schnitzel served with red cabbage and dumplings. I ordered the Munich platter consisting of. A bratwurst, knackwurst, and mieswurst,a mild pork sausage. The meal was served with red cabbage and home fried potatoes, all for $15.95! Perhaps the great meal was upstaged by each dessert we ordered. For chocolate lovers you might want to try the Vienna Crepes served with ice cream and whipped cream topped with a maraschino cherry, for $7.95! I ordered the home made Apple Strudel served with a large amount of ice cream and whipped cream topped off with a cherry, all for $6.95. Wunderbar!!! Served with coffee it was the end of a perfect meal😁More

The restaurant was crowded (they were running St. Patrick's week corned beef special) which was my only negative as I would have preferred greater distance between tables. We came for German food and the sauerbraten did not disappoint, among the most tender I've eaten in...quite a while. My wife's schnitzel also was tender and tasty. I commend the house dressing on the salad (although I would have preferred it on the side). The Black Forest cake was good, we split a generous serving, however, it could have been more moist with the addition of a few more cherries. Overall a great meal.More
