I wish I saw coming into the restaurant what I saw coming out. I would have turned around and left. As I was leaving, I needed to use the facilities. Stopped in and was overpowered by the smell of what had to be month old urine. A cook followed me in – orange cap, white coat, did his business in... More

Good food at a good price. Ample servings or get a small plate at any age. Family run for a long time. Never got a bad meal.

I eat here whenever I'm in the area. I really enjoy their country fried steak with extra gravy and onions. You are able to get a good amount of old school food like fried okras for a solid price.

Other than the Mac and cheese, I think everything was from a frozen TV dinner. I was so disappointed. Chicken fried steak is not 1/8“ thick, square, and so done you could barely get a fork in it. The mashed potatoes were from flakes and even the fried okra was cold. Will not be returning. So sad because I really... More

Surprisingly there are not many options in Columbia for good country cooking with Lizard's Thicket being the obvious choice. Most things are good, but occasionally you will have something that tastes canned. The fried chicken is very good! Also, if you like soup, the vegetable soup is very good.

Asked for dark meat. Got all white meat. Cornbread was muffins that were pale yellow, no discernible corn. They were inedible. We threw them all out. And margarine/butter included, not plain butter. The carrot salad was great. No delivery, although the website said there was. We were staying in a hotel, only 1/2 mile from restaurant. We picked up order... More

I have to say that I tried giving this place the benefit of the doubt THREE times! Shame on me the third time. The food I got was take out and it was horrible. It had been microwaved (heat up), and the meat was so hard and chewy you could tell. Perhaps, other people have had better experiences but I... More

While I could not pronounce the name of the place...there food was delicious. They had too many choices, so I ordered TWO meals!!! Had one for an lunch and the other for dinner!!! Now, I am not gonna tell ya... More

Eat at Lizard's a lot since moving here some 8 or 9 years ago. Decent food, low priced, friendly staff. Sometimes the green beans taste canned. Stew is great. Fried chicken is tops at times and undercooked at other times. Irmo unit is busier than others and less friendly, but ok.

Thank David C
