Great service and food. Been here since 1947! I loved my pimento cheese burger. I will be doing this again very soon!

Northgate Soda Shop is the best keep secret in Greenville, SC. I had lunch and was fantastic, the Pepperjack cheeseburger was great. I will be back.

I norammly have an open mind about places I try and visit and this place was no exception. As you drive up to the place it's on the end of another business. I walked in the door and told the person behind the counter this is my first visit."Oh just sit anywhere" .I looked at the menu ordered a cheeseburger... More

Read in Southern Living about the best hamburgers around the South. It said Northgate soda shop for SC. Never heard of it, so we went. Cute hole in the wall. Great service. Typical diner menu with lots of nostalgia around of old Greenville. Lemonade was not only fresh squeezed but made to order. Pimento cheese hamburger was good... not sure... More

When we parked outside , my wife was dubious about the place but as we had heard good things we went in to check it out for breakfast. It is great ! Old style decorations with antique shop type atmosphere and a real old style lunch counter (plenty of table seating too). Staff are super friendly and service is prompt.... More

Definitely in the top 5 burgers I've ever had. The place is like a snapshot back in time. Plus they have old fashioned sodas and karaoke on the weekends!

We've come here for over 40 years (family included). It's right across from a nice little park downtown and around the corner from a few more. EXCELLENT food (BLT is our fav) and better drinks! Definitely has the 50s type charm and the operators/staff are so sweet! They're great advice givers and know everything about Greenville! If you need somewhere... More

This restaurant has been here for years, however, this was my first visit. It has alot of old pictures of Greenville from "back in the day". Very interesting to walk around this small restaurant and look. It was not as clean as I was hoping. Maybe just because it is an old establishment. I had the deviled egg salad sandwich... More

It's got cute curb appeal, and harkens to another time... But the scary kitchen and seering-stare-with-your-mouth-open service and the frankly, appallingly bad food ranks this "It's the BAYESSST!" institution in the nostalgia-category.
