We were there on Halloween night. Some of the best low country cuisine we have ever had and we lived in Charleston for years. We started with she crab soup and pimento cheese fondue with hand cut potatoe chips. Entrees were crab cakes and rib eye topped with mushroom bacon tomato Parmesan salad. The she crab soup and the crab... More

We stopped in for a drink - the bartender was very attentive and personable. Great atmosphere to relax and have a drink. They also have 1/2 off bottles of wine on Wednesday nights - can't beat it.

We visited Sassafrass for the first time last Friday night and enjoyed our dinner although found the pricing to be a bit on the high side. This is definitely fine dining. The chef is very imaginative with the many different offerings featured on the menu. We were seated on the patio which was lovely because the weather on Friday night... More

Could not pass on discounted Lady Antebellum tickets at the event center in Greenville. Made reservations for an early dinner in downtown Greenville. That got us a fabulous table by the window. Made an excellent lemon drop martini. Started with lightly friend oysters and oysters rockerfellar. Moved to an authentic she crab soup and a caesar salad. Service was excellent.... More

Pleasant atmosphere, excellent service and easy care even with 2 small children. Special thanks for location and accommodation for little ones. Oh yes, the food was 5 star.

This is a great place for an intimate dinner. Everything that we ordered was delicious. Our appetizer was the pulled pork egg rolls. YUMMY! I had the filet with pimento and my husband had the stuffed fried chicken. Great food!

In town for a wedding. Had a planned dinner for about 20 guest. The facility was very accomodating and put us in a fairly secluded area. Two dedicated servers, and the dinner went pretty smoothly, even with some small children. The food was excellent, especially the Filet special, and the Ribeye. Great atmosphere as well. Only complaint was it is... More

Came here with another couple and really liked it. I had the fried chicken which was awesome. The other 3 had the Pimento filet and was equally delicious. Only downside was our server wasn't the friendliest dude I've ever met. He was a bald guy with a deep voice and seemed irritated at any request and probably went about 20... More

My wife and I chose Sassafras because it was her daughter's favorite restaurant when she went to Furman. My wife had the She Crab soup with a small portion of the potato cake and shrimp. I had the Louisiana fried catfish, which came with collard greens and sweet potato fries. We were very pleased with our food, leaving barely a... More

Good southern-style food and really love the fried oysters in season. They also have good entrée-size salads - really good with salmon on top. It also has a fun bar atmosphere if you just want to come for drinks or to eat at the bar.
