Schwaben House is one of the more authentic German restaurants I have visited in the states. We lived in Germany for almost four years and developed a love for German food so it was great to find a place that served what we remember. That said, a lot was new to us because we lived in Bavaria and a number... More

From the maultaschen trio appetizer to the lady finger and rum torte, every bite was wonderful! It was also nice that they provided small smoked sausage and bread appetizers to all guests, it was only 2 bites, but it was delicious. The sauerbraten and the jager schnitzel were both good sized and had a great balance of flavors. We will... More

Beef carpaccio to die for...light yet creamy soups to savor, perfectly spiced...Good German Beer on tap...good wine list...salmon with leeks...and of course heavier German fare.... Schnitzel, Spätzle, etc. Serving sizes can be a bit more than the progressive European décor might lead you to expect. Tastefully decorated interior with light jazz as background music makes for a pleasant ambiance. Small... More

We enjoyed roasted Brussel-sprout soup, a sausage & cheese salad, jäger schnitzel and a trio of great desserts. Food was very well prepared, clearly all freshly done and of excellent taste. We will be back.

If you like original German food - this is the perfect place. High quality and nice atmosphere. You can taste the difference of real homemade cuisines.

Excellent German Food. Definitely worth a visit. I have only eaten at a handful of German restaurants but this one is the best I have experienced by far. Truly Delicious

We went to Greenville to surprise our youngest son and his girlfriend and the wanted to show us the Greenville area. We ended up at the Schwaben Haus without reservations to eat for supper. Both of them have been there to et and said the food is good. Were they wrong, the food and service and atmosphere were wonderful! Authentic... More

Not authentic. Food was overpriced. Decor was odd. Unterhause in Simpsonville is much better. Disappointed we wasted our time and money.

This is the most outstanding German restaurant I've visited in the United States! I will alter my travel plans just to fly into / out of Greenville, so that I can dine with them. The food is excellent and the wait staff outstanding. You cannot go wrong if you enjoy a meal at the Schwaben House!

We had our wedding at the Schwaben House Easter weekend. The owners Anette and Georgio are simply fantastic, they decorated the back deck in the most perfect way for the ceremony! They were absolutely amazing in every aspect. From helping plan a welcome drink for guests, to the appetizer selection (carpaccio - which was mouth melting and incredible beyond this... More
