The place is somewhat dated; but it is in South of the Border. Food okay; but there are other places with far more choices. Bathrooms need updating; Not very clean.

Food was terrible and overpriced. Don't know why we didn't think to check Trip Advisor before we went in there! Please don't waste your money.

The waitress took 5 minutes to come before we were seen. When the food arrived it was cold and some foods were soggy. The waitress never came to check to see if we needed anything. The automatic tip was ridiculous. I refused to pay until the called the manager to take it off but, the manager was the waitress as... More

On the way to Virginia, I stopped at South of the Border and had lunch. Having stopped here to look at some of the shops a few years back, I had fairly low expectations for their food. I ordered their tacos. The hard corn tortilla shells were the best part of the tacos. The meat which dominated the tacos tasted... More

I had low expectations of this place based on the tacky roadside context, but the food was fine, the service pleasant and prompt and the decor surprisingly tasteful. Not a bad place for a food stop on a road trip.

Took my nephews here for lunch....big mistake. They ordered Nachos supreme, and they both got cold Nachos, and they both made the comment that they could have bought the ingrediants at Wal Mart and had the same flavor profile. The portions were large, and thats the best that can be said. Service was slooooow, and quality was low.

I'd been to South of the Border many times, but I had never eaten there so we tried it for lunch. My husband ordered a burger. I ordered the burritos. The food was just okay. It wasn't bad, but the portions were kind of small. There was nothing wow about the food either. It was just food. Our server was... More

Sooner or later, you have to stop at South Of The Border and look around. You wind up shopping and if you are hungry enough, you'll give it a try. While it's not horrible, it's not exactly a place I would go out of my way to eat at again. The atmosphere is Mexican Kitsch. The food is not noteworthy... More

We dropped through on our way to Florida from North Carolina, and we explored the many shops and kitschy fare of the area. We expected very little from the food and got our expectations met. The waitress was friendly and joked with us about the area. We got burritos and chimichangas that were nominal to poor, as one reviewer said... More
