I have been to polliwogs on a number of occasions. A friendly bar restaurant. Check for which night has the all you can eat crabs. They have music some nights and always games on the TVs. The outdoor deck is popular but the smokers are out there if that bothers you. Try it you'll like it.

We brought a colleague here because he's retiring. We've been here for two hours and out of our group of 30, there's still people who don't have their food. We had called ahead the day before and it seems as though they made no adjustments in staff--only one server and food has trickled in over an extended period. This place... More

If you are looking for a place for fun and to watch some sports, then you have found your place. The atmosphere is great and the service was outstanding. The food was just average.

It was a late afternoon lunch date with my husband. The place was practically empty. We were seated at a table to the left of the establishment next to a frenchdoor. It was obvious that smokers use the outside area to smoke as the smell of stale cigarettes premiated the area. I ordered a martini which was served in a... More

I've been here several times to watch ball games & it's set-up well for a sports bar with plenty of big TVs. The staff is attentive & very accommodating about changing channels to the game you want to watch, adjusting volume, etc. This is the 1st time I've tried the brunch on Sunday. The regular menu is essentially tavern style... More

Came here one night, during a work trip. Seemed like a pretty slow night. Service was fine, food was okay. Beer selection is good and local, but stock was low so not all on the list was in. The shrimp po-boy was middle of the road, not the worst or best I've ever had and the price reflected that. Overall,... More

Stopped by with a couple of friends for dinner. We were seated quickly and our orders taken. The service and food was good (I had a hamburger) but the music was too loud. You had to yell to hear yourself talk. Why do so many places feel they have to have the music turned up so loud during meals. Late... More

I found the menu at Polliwogs to be a unique mixture of top-notch burgers to a killer shrimp and grits. Full bar and many televisions available for gameday enjoyment.

I really like what they have done with this place. The atmosphere is kind of beachy. The chef's mac and cheese is always really good. The french dip is a personal favorite.
