The official definition of a bistro is a small restaurant, so I suppose, technically, this place qualifies. However, when I imagine a bistro, I picture a charming European cafe with a small, carefully selected menu maybe with egg dishes and salads. This ain't that. My family went here for a last minute dinner. Immediately we should have been suspicious, because... More

What has happened to Julips a restaurant that was once always busy at the bar is now dead. There's no live music except for maybe Sunday mornings at brunch which Still Remains a really good opportunity to relax and enjoy great food but the rest of the time you cannot even count on the restaurant being open for the posted... I have been to this business twice. Once for a surprise party for my best friend in September 2015 and most recently with my family. The food is wonderful, that's no doubt. The atmosphere is an eclectic mix of fine dining and a very nice upscale sports bar in another are. However, that is not what has won my heart... More

We tried this restaurant, based on driving by all of the time and noticing the packed parked lot. We were seated quickly, and the restaurant was fairly busy. Our waiter was nice, and we ordered drinks and appetizer. The dip with pita wedges was not at all what the menu described. There wasn't any cheese, and it consisted of a... More

The food was good not great but good. The service wasn't so good. The waiter acted like he hated life. Some of the food was pricey. We ordered salmon BLT, boneless wings, pimento cheese app, black eye pea app - all was good but not seasoned enough.

Sunday brunch is excellent! Every entree I have ordered is delicious...omelet, shrimp & grits, and bananas foster.

I wasn't sure if this was supposed to be a bar, family restaurant, or romantic. There were people watching the game in the front. The lights were dim in the middle, while music was playing, and there was what looked like a baby shower in the back. We mixed breakfast and dinner there. The grits were nice, but I didn't... More

We made reservations at Julep's for Mother's Day more than a month previous. We arrived at few minutes after 1 and were seated quickly. After about 15 minutes, we were able to order drinks. Our waiter, when asked if they offered hot tea, was not aware if they even served it. Not what flavors, which I could understand, but if... More

Description
Uncle "M" and Aunt Kath opened Julep's Bistro in 2013 preserving and re-imagining old favorites while bringing a fresh new perspective to the bistro menu. Armed with an extensive background in the service industry across the country, Uncle has made Columbia home and loves introducing new people into the "Family." Chef Mark joined the Julep's family in 2013. He enlisted in the Army National Guard at eighteen and attended the Joint Culinary Center for Excellence. After completing six years of service, he brought his experience to Julep's. He enjoys translating experience into new recipes. Chef Devin joined the Julep's family in 2013. He attended culinary school in his home state of New Jersey and honed his skills in steakhouses and pubs throughout the Shore before relocating to SC. A Southerner at heart, Chef Devin's passion is designing seasonal dishes utilizing the best in local ingredients. Mixologist Nikki joined the Julep's family in 2013. She began mixing up cocktails in her home state of New Jersey and quickly found she has a natural talent for hospitality. This combination helped her create Julep's signature drink menu and help patrons select the perfect pairing for a stellar meal
