If you're looking for a place to enjoy some good food& drinks, then Sato's is the place for you. They have a dining area for larger parties. The cooks & servers are very friendly. Ask for Miguel (cook) or Heather (server). You won't be disappointed with their service. The food is great& so is the serving size. Everyone had to... More

OH MY! Let's talk about good food! From the time you walk in the door, you can see in the "background" the bar, if you look to your right, past the hostess stand, you can see the sushi bar. The sushi is amazing! Made fresh to order, right where you can see them doing it. After you are seated, in... More

Definitely my favorite place to eat hibachi and Japanese food in Columbia! With a variety of options, they have a wide range of meals from chicken to steak to lobster that will satisfy your cravings! My favorite is the Chicken teriyaki and shrimp! Another favorite is steak and chicken. (My friends just end up getting all three: steak, chicken teriyaki,... More

Our son graduated Basic in August of 2016 and wanted some Japanese style meal. Sato was recommended to us by the Captain. Location is close to Fort Jackson and food is very good. Staff is very courteous and nice. I would go here again.

Came here with family, in hopes of seeing a good show since we are all fans of Hibachi! There was 10 of us. The place had a funny smell when you walked in, very dark, not inviting. Our grill top had a huge lump/bow in it. We had a white man that cooked our food,he was very polite and had... More

Typical hibachi place. Food is tasty and lots of it. Fresh vegetables were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I had the Seafood, lots of shrimp, scallops and good amount of lobster. Others had chicken and streak. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Place could use a facelift. Sever was attentive but our chef, although nice and friendly was obviously acting and following a... More

I went here for a birthday party and did not like my dining experience at all. I have been to several of the Japanese steakhouses in Columbia and this place was by far the worst experience. We had two tables and called 24 hours in advance to make sure they had seating capacity. We were seated in a timely manner... More

We had reservations for 7 PM. We were finally sat at 8 PM. Every surface, including our plates were crusty. The shrimp sauce was spoiled and hot so I cancelled my food order. My friends did not enjoy their food. Service was slow. None of our group of 10 will return.
