Hunter-Gatherer Brewery has been brewing and serving classic ales since 1995. Starting in 2015, we will regularly feature cask-conditioned ales served from wood kilderkins made by Alastair Simms, the only master cooper in the United Kingdom. Michael Jackson, aka the "Beer Hunter", visited the Hunter-Gatherer Brewery in 1997. He wrote that the Hunter-Gatherer is "the kind of place CAMRA (Campaign For Real Ale) members might enjoy. The beer is the hero, rather than the brewery being an afterthought. In the U.S., And even sometimes in Britain, the latter is too often the case." Michael Jackson was the best beer writer and critic the world has known. A compliment from Michael Jackson is as meaningful

Great place to hunt and gather some beers with friends. It's an old airplane hangar turned brewery and pizza place. Been several times and always had a fun time. Their pizzas are fantastic and their beers are even better.

This is a fairly nice place, but neither the food, service or atmosphere were such that I would choose it over numerous other restaurants in the area. The noise makes it hard to have a decent conversation. The food was ok, though I would have...More

We enjoyed the atmosphere, less the free-range toddler in a bar environment which is probably the new normal. The beer was good, the selection was not large. The IPA has kicked (for dan) but he was okay with the pale ale, which I didn’t find...More

We went here before the Chris Stapleton concert and the food was excellent. It is small and crowded; getting a table can be a bit of an adventure, but we were lucky in our timing. For the entire time we were there we watched people...More

A unique brew-pub adjacent to the USC campus and a block from the state capital, this restaurant serves up local fare with a twist and a variety of types of food to enjoy that one seldom finds in a brew-pub. On Thursday nights, jazz is...More

Sorry for the slow and partially helpful response. For us a large group is 8-12, most often we can seat 8-12 people in a reasonable amount of time. A group of more than 12 would have to find separate tables. We don't take... More
