The title of the restaurant, Food is Good, sums it up perfectly. The food was good, but there were only a few things to write home about. The tomato tartin was unbelieveable!!! We also loved the butterscotch pot de creme. We ordered the grouper, steak,...More

I had to call to squeeze a reservation for FIG - they're usually booked up weeks in advance. They managed to squeeze me in since I gave them a range of nights I was available which I was grateful for. Getting the reservation in itself...More

FIG is really good, but compared to other Charleston restaurants, it just does not go over the top to 5 stars. The dining room is warm and our server, Stuart, was friendly and professional. The gnocchi, porchetta special and butterscotch pot de creme were standouts,...More

We were underwowed by this place. We'd had a number of great experiences at Charleston restaurants in the past few days, R. Kitchen, Husk, SNOB, Obstinate Daughter. This was to be the piece de resistance of the trip, our last night before heading back to...More

Maybe our hopes were too high. Maybe we're spoiled by New Orleans cuisine. Maybe we were sucked in by Anthony Bourdain's glowing review. Whatever it was, we weren't wowed. I realized the difference after eating at Hall's Chophouse the next night. At Fig, we didn't...More

We took a chance and it worked out for us. With no reservations, we only waited 30 minutes. Waiting is not comfortable at all. You are lined up opposite the bar (which is only for dining customers) and feel very much in the way of...More

Being just out of my first trimester of pregnancy, I was so pleased to learn the nights menu was very mild. What a miracle for me! We began with the chicken liver pate which had the softest texture and ended with the delicious yellow cake...More

The best food from our 6 day trip to Charleston. We sat at the community table, ended up enjoying our 6 other table individuals. Food blew our mind. The beef, flounder, dessert, and the gnocchi were some of the best we have ever tasted. The...More

I'm not sure. We had a reservation for just my wife and I. It looked like there were a few parties of 6 but the night I was there I didn't see any big groups. Doesn't mean they can't do it but just passing along my... More
