We visited the Cafe for brunch as we very much enjoy dining out for breakfast, and the Cafe didn't disappoint. A vast variety of breakfast foods from eggs benedict to made to order omelets to French Press coffee (pot brought to your table and refreshed if you wish). All food was fresh, tasty and hot. Service was grand! Our waiter... More

Visited Palmetto Cafe this am for breakfast and it definitely exceeded my expectations! Lindsey greeted us with smiles at our table and delivered attentive, friendly service throughout our meal. The brioche was fantastic if you want something sweet and special. The Palmetto Omelette is a must to order! It is loaded with crabmeat and lobster. You will not be disappointed!... More

This is a restaurant not to be missed. From the inventive menu presented by Chef Paul to the light, Charleston ambiance, you cannot go wrong here. Be prepared for astronomically high prices, but your selections, preparation, presentation and flavor make it worthwhile. Although my entire party did not agree on the value, we all agreed the meal was outstanding. service... More

The café is located in a shopping area that is upscale and nice to visit. The sunlight pours in, which is wonderful. Great food and service. I highly recommend!

Pleasant setting off the busy hotel lobby. Service is average though rather pretentious. Dishes are well prepared though seriously overpriced, but then again it is part of the hotel. If you like hotel restaurants, you won't be disappointed. Otherwise look somewhere else for authenticity.

We've not eaten here for dinner, but it's lovely for a special, expensive lunch. The food is delicious and beautiful, and the setting is perfect for a memorable lunch.

We visited The Palmetto Cafe the last day of our stay at the Belmond Charleston Place. They offer a Continental Breakfast that I think is overpriced for what is available. I ordered an omelette off the menu which was very good. The service was very good while not being overbearing.

This was a great lunch! Expensive but awesome food! Great bloody Mary's! We both had the she crab soup, delish! I had the crab salad and my husband had the seared flounder. Both were wonderful. The crab salad was huge. I couldn't finish it! They have a beautiful outdoor patio so if it's nice weather sit out there.

Located in the Belmond Charleston Hotel, the Palmetto Café is an elegant fine dining venue. The room has skylights and there are tables in a garden area. The service was attentive and fitting the quality of the setting. We had she crab soup; the presentation is to have crab meat in the bowl and then the soup poured into the... More

My wife and I went here yesterday for her birthday and once again, they knocked it out of the park. Service, food, and value are unsurpassed. My compliments to the entire house(front and back) and especially to my server John and our wonderful hostess Lily. I highly recommend without reservation to any and everyone who appreciates the finer things in... More
