Although it's informal, the food is outstanding. Portions are reasonable. Granddaughter had 'the usual' - Croque Monsieur. I had a small salad. Topped it off by sharing a meringue cookie.

Great service! Low key. Casual. Delightful atmosphere. Lunch can be served for dinner. We had the vegetable/rice plate, cheese/pate with delicious breads, hot ham/Brie on a croissant and a roast beef sandwich. For dessert, we shared the dark chocolate fondue with fruit, lemon and strawberry pound cake that was divine. We enjoyed our food and the friendly service. Highly recommend... More

The locals call this one Fast and French. Styled informally like a diner, it's run by folks who emigrated from France. The food is simple--not fussy--delicious and reasonably priced. A favorite of the locals, visitors like it, too. Its menu includes vegetarian-friendly fare (not an afterthought) and offers the classically French wine and cheese pairings. The desserts looked delicious, although... More

I love this place! There is only seating on stools at a long bar. The restaurant is in a long narrow space. Overweight people and those with mobility issues probably would not be comfortable here. But, for the rest of us -- it's the best. The Croque Monsieur was the best I've ever had -- including in France. Great menu,... More

My wife and I enjoyed G & M very much. We had a ham and cheese melt sandwich, soup and a glass of wine for just $10 each! The atmosphere is very fun and informal. We sat at counter with several others which enhanced the experience. Someone else at our table had a similar sandwich to the one I had... More

The ham croissant was simply presented and the mustard offerings were perfect. The gazpacho soup was delicious The flavors were a French masterpiece that I enjoyed down to the crumbs and bottom of the bowl. We will be back. Merci

THE BEST coffee in Charleston. Excellent breakfast or brunch options. Supper is done well too. Imported beer, different flavored water and tea. Great for small groups. Go here now!

What a surprise! Charmingly set in a very old building, his "fast French" restaurant was reasonably priced, and served absolutely delicious food. The service was not terribly helpful in response to our many questions, but no tipping was allowed, so there was no motivation to be knowledgeable. We had the scallops and the vegetarian three vegetable dinner. Wonderful!

Enjoy $3 house wine with your meal and save the cost of a tip. They don't allow it. Very small with limited seating. French inspired food, mainly breads, meats, cheeses, soups and salads. Popular with locals.
