We visit Bakehouse often. Their espresso drinks are really good. I consistently get a great iced cafe americano (insert happy, satisfied sigh here). Their quiche is very good as are their cookies and other baked goods. I don't think I have ever ordered something I wasn't happy to eat.

They made the s'more bars for Ryan Reynolds wedding so they have to be doing something right. The coconut macaroons were awesome and my wife had one of the best red velvet whoopie pie she's ever had. The staff was very knowledgeable of the ingredients and techniques used to create the items. Enjoyed this bakery. $2-$5 per item.

We discovered this little gem this year while searching for an early-morning coffee, latte, etc. There is a library room with comfy chairs, and the main area has equally comfortable "benches". The coffee is certainly good, as are the scones, according to my husband and a friend of ours (I am gluten-free so could not test for myself! We will... More

Had a nice cup of coffee and a huge piece of homemade red velvet cake. It was really enjoyable. Would definitely stop by again.

We came in out of the cold in the evening and ordered decaf specialty coffees for the family. As soon as we sat down, they said we're closing in 5 minutes. I asked them if we could enjoy our coffees for a few minutes after closing, and they said no. In addition, the coffees were not decaf, and the family... More

Highlight here was all of the different lil details. There were cute stoneware mugs being sold, model cakes everywhere repping jobs the shop's had, tons of books to peruse, and an eclectic supply of old chairs. Loved that they sold lil goodies like homemade marshmallows, too. Coffee was good. Husband was a big fan of iced. Cute stop!

Coffee very hot but average in flavor/taste. Cannot converse in normal voice as shop and behind counter noise way too loud. Will not visit again.

I love everything about Bakehouse Charleston. It is located on East Bay, one of the major streets in Charleston with a ton of restaurants and little shop. When you walk in the space is welcoming. I especially love the side room with the barnyard door. The staff is always pleasant and friendly. The bakery case is very appealing and beckons... More

We had just arrived back in the Port after a week long Carnival Cruise and since my girlfriend was waiting on a late night flight, we spent the day walking around Charleston. She got to a point where she was ready for a bit of a pick-me-up. No, she did not pick me up, we just stopped by Bakehouse Charleston... More
