As a Charleston local I have tried most of the Italian restaurants here. Trattoria Lucca is the best. It's a bit pricey but worth it. It's a small place so you will most likely want reservations. The setting is romantic, perfect for a date night!

Dinner reservation Friday night at Trattoria Lucca Italian Restaurant. Very busy restaurant. Prompt seating for our reservation at 6pm. A little cold sitting by the windows and front door. Good intimate setting, can be a little on the noisy side. Wait staff are all very attentive. Food is excellent. Paste made in-house! Dairy free option available but some unavoidable (blue... More

The concierge at our hotel recommended Trattoria Lucca and shared his own personal favorite dishes. It is in a somewhat transitional residential neighborhood, but once you enter the door, you will be transported by the warm intimate lighting, a staff dedicated to assuring you are happy with every selection, and the variety of choices on the menu that changes daily.... It is an intimate neighborhood Italian restaurant with remarkable fresh pasta and menu that regularly is changed. The entrees are complex and beautifully designed. The wine list was small and wonderful and very reasonably priced. Our waiter did an excellent job of describing choices, and anticipated our wants. We are so glad to have discovered what will be a mainstay... More

Excellent food. You must have a reservation. Very small restaurant. Take Uber to Bogart Street. Restaurant is in a neighborhood. We never leave Charleston without a visit here. We discovered this restaurant by the locals! You will not be disappointed!!

When I called for a Christmas eve reservation, I was delighted to learn that the restaurant set this night aside for Feast of the Seven Fishes, an Italian tradition I had never experienced. We decided to reserve for the earlier of the two seatings and arrived 10 minutes before 6 PM to a crowd of about 12 people waiting outside.... More

This was THE BEST Italian dinner I have had! If you come to Charleston, try this place out - you won't be sorry. Their bread is served with whipped butternut squash, olive oil, amaretti, percorino cheese and pork rind. Amazing. The cheese plate (robiola tre latti, provolone, L'Ulivo, and gorgonzola) and the winter salad with pear, hazelnut, smoked ricotta, and... More

After one of the worst meals in my life (in charleston, see Barony Tavern) my faith has been restored with Trattoria Lucca's family style dinner on Mondays. Being that it was a family style meal I'm not going to go into the details of each dish, but every course was just as delicious as the next. I also would like... More

Wonderful cooling and easy to choose menu with many small plates. Ken Vedrinski is a great chef. Noise level has greatly improved at Lucca. Do not be deterred by slightly run down neighborhood; nothing has ever happened to our car or property when parking there.

We had a group of nine dining at Trattoria Lucca. We were told by our waiter, Shay, that a party of 12 had cancelled at the last minute and offered our table the four-course price fix dinner that was probably intended for the other diners. Our waiter asked if anyone had any food restrictions with one in our group being... More
