Met my son (URI student) on a Monday afternoon for lunch. Lots of people still enjoying breakfast. There were beer & wine drink options on the board and some other fancy specials (?) -- I didn't realize that there was an upstairs dining room! We were in the mood for standard diner-style fare and were not disappointed. Downstairs has mostly... More

A great place for breakfast served all day. The downstairs is diner-like and plain but the breakfasts and the service are exceptional.

Waited 40 minutes after placing order for meal. You don't come here for fine dining so food was not worth the wait. Waitress didn't have a clue that we were or should have been upset. Perhaps it was because we were sitting upstairs for breakfast. They had 5 girls waiting/bussing 5 tables so it was for a lack of wait... More

Expansion in recent years provides rooftop al fresco dining in season with an indoor option upstairs. Downstairs is the original venue pretty much unchanged for a half century and open for breakfast and lunch only. Lunch and dinner uostairs. Full bar with a decent craft beer selection.

My family and I decided to try this place after years of walking and driving by it. We had a late lunch, but I think the place is better known as a breakfast spot. We ate in the upstairs dinning room, it is very basic, which is fine. Our table had some sticky spots on it, just kinda gross, but... More

We stopped by Christmas Eve after helping our son move to the area from VA. We were excited to try the local seafood. Rhode Island stuffie, New England clam chowder, clam cakes and lobster sliders. We loved them all and now envy our son who will be living here. As good as the food, the service by Ariana was what... More

I really enjoy the rooftop bar. It's a little on the expensive side, but it has an awesome atmosphere that makes it entirely worth it. Definitely check it out if you havent before, the food is good too.

My wife and I met our realtor here before we ventured out looking at neighborhoods and homes. Our realtor mentioned Phil's was an institution so we had to try it. We visited at lunchtime on a Tuesday and the place was busy. There is an upstairs and a downstairs and we sat downstairs by the front window. We sat down... More

Breakfast on the upper deck is one of my favorite ways to start a Saturday. The servers are very attentive and the food is good. The Mediterranean Benedict is my favorite.
