Following on from an excellent evening meal, we went back to sample the Sunday Lunch and were not disappointed!! Three courses, both had crayfish is start, a novel twist on the standard prawn cocktail! One Roast Beef and one Roast Pork! Both plentiful and tastefully presented! Food as good as the presentation! Dessert consisted chocolate brownies, again really enjoyable!!

Everything cooked beautifully, steak on of the best I've tasted in a long time and the whiskey sauce with the pork was out of this world. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, orders... More

The restaurant was fully booked as there was a party in that night so we booked a table in the bar. We were well looked after all night. Although the bar menu is not very... More

To save customers unnecessary journeys it can be confirmed that the Black Lion is closed. It is up for sale/lease due to retirement of its owner, according to its website. Quite a few locals are unaware of this.

we went to this restaurant after seeing the reviews on tripadvisor up to August 2015.We had a great deal of difficulty finding the place as it was in a quite remote place ,nevertheless it made no difference as it was closed when we got there .Ive since found out it closed a fortnight before we went
