One of the other coaches for the lacrosse team I coach, wanted to go here after the game one night. I've been in Ephrata for 5 years and never heard of this place. Seems to be one of those places where if you don't know about it, you just don't know about it. The food was good, the beer was... More

This little out of the way Hotel, is well worth a visit. If you are coming as a group , like the 10 of us, I would advise making reservations What this place lacks in size and outward appearance , it certainly makes up in service and quality of food. My wings were amazing, can't wait to go back!! Others... More

My wife and I were enjoying a ride in the country and wanted to stop for a drink. We like to find local places to eat and drink, preferring historic country inns over and plastic chain. We came upon the Penguin Hotel and Bar, by total chance. We could not have been luckier with walking in to this wonderful place.... More

Have been there many times. So lucky to have this place out here. Food has always been good. Sometimes it gets a bit busy but who can complain. Would recommend reservations on weekends.

This is a great local tavern! If you're looking for a quaint hometown feeling this place is for you. Seating is ample for but does fill up quickly on weekend evenings so be patient. Reservations would be a good idea if you plan to visit on Friday or Saturday. Great menu from apps to entree's (wings are excellent). Food is... More

Stopped in tonight as first visit did not know whether there was a hostess or if you looked for a seat. Went to ask the bartender who was extremely rude like underage. Will never step foot in there again.....asked for a manager none on site.

We stopped there on a Sunday afternoon. Friendly folks, cheerful bartender. A fun place to relax and have a drink and a bite to eat.

We had meatloaf and some interesting and delicious beer. No airconditioning, and the server was not really into her work, but whatever. We were hungry, in the middle of nowhere, and got a good meal.

They say that the restaurant that is always busy is worth checking out. Several people told us the food is good, but it looks like not much on the outside. We went for the Valentine's Day special, two entrees and a bottle of wine for 50 and were pleasantly surprised by the food, service, and homey atmosphere.

Very good food, clean, wonderful service. Overhearing several conversations that sound more like a KKK rally, a little concerning.
