I grew up in the Mt. Penn/Reading area, but it wasn't until I moved away that my family started going to the Arbor Inn. I couple years ago I was home for a visit and my family decided to take me to burger night - every Thursday they come up with some weird concoction (that totally shouldn't work, but does,... More

The menu and preparation of the food is not typical of Berks County. This selection compares more to larger metro markets, like Philly, Chicago and NYC. I always get their specials and have not been disappointed. Service is great, and the owner speaks with each table. The bar is a classic.

Where do I begin? Such a comfortable atmosphere. There were so many great things on the menu it was hard to decide. I have a few allergies so I brought them to our server, Talisha's attention, who was very pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu. The owner, Frank, spoke with us and assured me I would have no worries. That... More

People smoking in parking lot, the entry way smells bad (musty or something), VERY dark place inside. Honestly the ambiance reminds me of the coal regions -- it feels like an old restaurant in Pottsville or Ashland! You enter through... More

Not only was it a gorgeous place, but the food was INCREDIBLE. I would highly suggest this restaurant to everyone. All of the employees were kind and very helpful. And for all of the sweet teeth you HAVE to try diannahs cheesecake. I have craved that cheesecake every day since.

Not only is the food fantastic, but the menu is constantly evolving. There are always new delights. You can't miss. The fish and stews are particularly delicious, but many people adore burger night... with its exceptionally innovative dishes. Frank is charming and treats his patrons like family. The restaurant can be a bit busy, so call for a reservation. At... More

We have eaten here several times and the food is always exceptional. Very friendly atmosphere plus a twist of personalization we find. The prime rib night is to die for but should be more often, the home cooked meals is always a delight, hamburger Thursday is a must!
