I've been hearing about this restaurant for many years, but never went because I have been disappointed by Middle Eastern restaurants many times. This place is a bit of a hole in the wall, located on a side street with a facade that doesn't exactly make you feel like there must be something fabulous behind the doors. But, my husband... More

I've been coming here for decades! I love everything about Ali Baba's. From being greeted by the owner or a member of the family, to the timeless decor to the authentic delicious food. Close your eyes and point to anything on the menu. You won't be disappointed. I hope Ali Baba's stays open for decades to come.

A friend and I recently had dinner at Ali Baba. The service was great. The dining room is cozy and a bit loud. We began before the dinner rush and left at its peak. No one rushed us out, so we enjoyed our time eating. While the food was good, I think it's a bit expensive for what you get.... More

After patronizing this restaurant for about 40 years, I regret not writing a review sooner. Their motto must be: If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The only physical changes have been from a hallway sized establishment to it current small size. The food has not changed at all: excellent. This is a family owned and run restaurant in the... More

Overpriced and flavorless middle eastern fare. Service was ok but at times our waitress seemed a bit lost ( we were 8) Truly nothing special and would not recommend.

This restaurant is right next to the museum. It looks family run. The waiter was very nice and helpful. It pulls a lot of college crowd as well. We had hummus a Babaganoush with meat pie. The pie was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. It could have used a little more seasoning. The Syrian chicken wrap was nicely cooked and... More

It used to be our favorite place to eat as students and it hasn't changed since. Interior has been refreshed and modernized but the feeling is the same. Great service and friendly advice if you need help.

I dine at Ali Baba for business lunches and dinners with my wife & friends. The lunch and dinner menus offer a nice selection, the food and service is great, and the prices are reasonable.

I ate here regularly as a grad student at Pitt in the 80s and revisited recently. The decor has been updated but place is still bustling with good service and an extensive, low-cost lunch menu. Great testament to the quality of the place that it's still going strong after almost 40 years and still busy with several more competing restaurants... More
