This is such a great place to have a dinner with friends and family. Home cooked food that is the greatest served in family style. If country store is open, check it out and the barn with antics.

From time I sat down till we got food 50 minutes. They forgot about drinks initially. Had two waitresses apparently lack of communication on their part or managements training. You are being served exactly what everyone else is and due to reservations being made they know approximately how much food to prepare but it took forever. Only when I voiced... More

We were camping in the area and found a great big sign on the roadway for this restaurant. It closed in 45 minutes so we hoped they would accommodate us as we did not think there were any other places to eat in the area. We were informed that we needed reservations and thought we would be turned away. They... More

Visited for the first time recently for a retirement dinner. Wonderful experience. The food was delicious and plentiful, the service excellent, efficient and always pleasant. The setting is beautiful and the atmosphere very quaint and comfortable. It's a little out of the way but worth the drive. Excellent choice for our party, we basically had the place to ourselves as... More

Read the glowing reviews and was excited to visit, but the mediocre food was a major disappointment. Had the roast beef, mashed potatoes, vegetable medley, etc..., and it all tasted like leftovers, which we all felt it was. The exception was the fritters, clearly the only truly fresh thing we had, they were excellent. As for the service, the girls... More

You had me at fresh hot rolls. Seriously. Literally fresh from the oven! Had the oven baked fried chicken, fritters, etc... Being a good Southern woman, it's difficult to admit I had such a great meal so close to the Mason Dixon!! Hehe. Seriously though....superb meal, excellent and friendly service. Ended up getting a recipe book from the gift shop... More

There was plenty of food. I really liked the Crab Imperial. The salad with the hot bacon dressing was good also. I did not care for the scalloped potatoes but the broccoli and carrots were good, I didn't feel that there was anything extra special, basic home style cooking but there was plenty of it. Our waitress was very attentive.... More

The food is delicious, please remember it is all you can eat. I know that during summer hours it can get a bit busy so you will better off making a reservation if you do not want to wait. They have a cute little shop in the back, we have been in there several times. IF anyone complains that it... More
