The waterwheel Cafe is a charming spot with great food. It is located in Milford Pa a charming touristy town with lots of shops (some in the same building as Cafe) You can see the huge working water wheel in action after , or before you eat.

The Waterwheel offers both great food and excellent service. The environment is authentic rustic country with a great view of the creek from the back porch. We love to sit outside during great weather and listen to the sound of the rushing water. There can be a wait during peak times in season or weekends. My family also loves their... More

This is a cozy & unique restaurant, bakery, country store, bar & live music spot all in one. There's live music (blues, rock, classics) on Thursdays & some Fridays in the bar area, which is separate from the main restaurant, but you can order food in the bar area too. Their menu is unique blend of American & Vietnamese food... More

Waited over an hour to be seated -- party of 4. Meanwhile groups of 2 were seated constantly after coming in behind us. Why weren't tables put together so we could be seated? Then the food---hair found in the salad, the salami on the sandwich was old and tasted horrible.

Great place for breakfast and lunch. Baking done on premises. Dinner offers Vietnamese and American food. Cool rustic bar downstairs, can see the old waterwheel through window. One of the owners, Darren, super friendly nice guy.

Impressed during a first visit. Rustic interior. The shrimp spring rolls, lamb meatballs, and fried fish cakes - from the Vietnamese section of the menu - were excellent, and I believe equally agreeable to someone accustomed to traditional American food or those wishing for something a bit more exotic. Pasta with chicken, scallops, and/or shrimp was also great. Wished the... More

Delicious food in an unusual location: an old mill turned into a restaurant and bakery. Quaint and scenic...and small, so you might have to wait for a table. The food, however, is worth the wait.

Charming and busy little restaurant in Milford. Sadly it is only open for dinners Thurs,Fri and Sat so we opted for lunches instead. Friendly staff, good food and a self-guided tour of the water wheel!

Description
Situated on the Sawkill Creek, in Milford, PA the Waterwheel Café, Bakery & Bar was started in April of 1989 in a restored 19th century water-powered mill, which is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Originally built in the early 1800's this lively example of American history is now in action and its doors are open to the public. Water rushes over the three-story high water-wheel, driving a series of shafts, gears, pulleys and belts that once powered the stones & grain-milling equipment, all visible through the glass walls of the Café & Bar. Starting at first as a bakery & lunch café the Waterwheel has grown into a full scale restaurant, bakery and bar-serving breakfast & lunch daily with dinners being served Thursday, Friday & Saturday evenings. Waterwheel's customers are comfortable in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. The kitchen staff consistently prepares a fresh and flavorful eclectic menu that excites not only the palate, but the eye as well.
