We had never been to the old Buckeye but were eager to try this new little restaurant in Macungie - which is lacking in good restaurants. The venue is beautiful - well decorated inside and outside. A beautiful place to dine and a bit upscale...More

I was excited to be able to go back after the fire, however I was disappointed with the several things. The atmosphere was pleasant, they used a lot of the original stones to rebuild. It is quite large and loud in the dining room. No...More

My husband and I visited the new Buckeye Tavern for lunch. The interior of the rebuilt building is just beautiful! There is only one floor, but it is absolutely gorgeous inside! The high ceilings do promote some echoing of conversations though. My husband had an...More

Unfortunately the Buckeye burned down We always enjoyed grabbing a bite at the bar. Always friendly patrons and staff. Loved their homemade sangria.

It was so very sad to learn of the fire at the Buckeye. This is a historic tavern, going back to the late 18th century, a coach stop between Bethlehem and Reading. There was great food and great service.

What a shame. This historic building was irreplaceable. The owner put his heart and soul into it. Please visit his other restaurant, the Alburtis Tavern. I like it!

The Buckeye Tavern burned down last week. The owners say they may rebuild but how do you rebuild an establishment that was first built in the early 1700's.
