When we were leaving LHI I had a coffee and cake they were both good. The service was ok. The coffee was a lot better than the plane stuff!

If you need a coffee before you head out out on the plane, then this is the cafe for you. Great coffee, even had soy milk.
Whilst waiting for your trip back home, this little cafe offers great coffee and light snacks. A small souvenir shop offers locally made goods and locally grown palms.
Limited choice of snacks pre-flight: we just had a slice of brown toast with those sachets of marmalade or peanut butter. We paid then sat outside in shade until we heard the lady call out "toast!" then we collected it inside. Gotta love LHI. Saw...More
Great little shop. We bought two souvenir Kentia palm plants for our lounge room so we can feel like we are back in Lord Howe every day. They have cute tea towels too.
If you need a last minute gift, tea or coffee the Dash-In is handy. Wonder if the choice and service could be a bit better though (the person on duty was just covering for the day) as it provides only the bare minimum.
Perfectly reasonable coffee and cakes with souvenirs including small potted palms, to take home. Not really a cafe, just a kiosk or rather hatch that's only open before planes are due to take off. Good if you're delayed or have an early start and miss...More
Only opens one hour before departures - coffee EXCELLENT, home made chocolate cake was rich, moist and worth travelling back to Lord Howe
Great coffee and even greater homemade cakes. The Museum was also very interesting! Internet here so one can keep in touch with the outside world if needs be.
