This is very much worth a diversion off the Hume Freeway. The Niagara Cafe is steeped in history and famous for hosting Ben Chifley and other Labor leader over the years. The menu is excellent and worth the wait. Yes this is not fast food...More

Stopped here for lunch on our way to Melbourne but gave up 25 minutes after ordering with nothing happening: no water, no coffee etc. Staff kept disappearing into back room and another table also cancelled an order. Good thing...no problems getting money back! Guess it...More

You have to get off the Hume Freeway to get into Gundagai but a visit to Gundagai is well worth making if you have the time. On our trip to Melbourne, we had the time to turn off into Gundagai and have a light lunch...More

We usually bypass Gundagai and fly passed on the highway to our destination. This time we are taking our time and decided to pull off and explore the town. Feeling like a good coffee and snack we called into the Niagara Cafe. We had the...More
