Best piece of flake ever. Must have been about 1" thick and approx 6" long, very fresh and very juicy. $10 and worth every cent for a decent feed. So good we went back twice more during our 3 day stay. Good coffee as well although it is only served in take away cups.
Good deal the Grenadier was cooked to perfection and the chips nice and fresh. Service was pleasant and it was lovely to eat the fish and chips overlooking the marina.
Normally I don't order battered fish however recently, when ordering I forgot to request this. Well I am now a convert when eating at or having takeaway from Blue Wave. The batter was so light and golden - it was absolutely delicious. Thanks guys
My Wife and I stopped by and had a Fish and chip lunch at this place. It was crowded and you had to wait for your order(Everything is cooked to order) but it is well worth it
We had a couple of breakfasts and a lunch here and the food and coffee both excellent . The fish very fresh and very well cooked . Well worth a visit and a great setting too
Really enjoyed the vast majority of the menu. The benefit of having a big family is we can order big and try it all. Loved the crab claws. The calamari was well cooked and even the youngest kids because it was so soft and tender. Chips were the right amount of crunchy and fluffy. I'd recommend getting the fish steamed... More
We had takeaway for dinner. Grilled grenadier and battered flathead were fine but nothing to write home about. Chips were oily and calamari rings were sort of ok. From all the excellent reviews maybe our expectations were a tad too high. Prices were reasonable, ok for a quick takeaway.
We had two excellent 'takeaway' evening meals from here and each was outstanding. The flake was perfectly battered and deep fried and the calamari rings were even better; toss in a few potato cakes and the dinner was a delight. Only downside was that on both evenings they were sold out of oysters. Highly recommended.
