Went out for a birthday meal I ordered the stake and my partner and her father ordered the carvery which as I understand was not bad my stake on the other hand was under cooked full of grizzle and fat and the worst peace of meat I've had in a long time they did apologise and give me a refund... Needed to stay in Red Ruth for a couple of days for a funeral. Found this accommodation on the internet and opted for it as in the right location. Booking was taken over the phone by a friendly person who made it very easy. On arrival the booking in was quick and efficient. The place has obviously been refurbished recently... More

I arranged a meal for a small group of people while they visited Cornwall for a committee meeting of the Daniel Ceramic Circle. They come from various parts of the country and told me and my husband after the meal how much they enjoyed the meal, all but one had the carvery and they were impressed especially with the portion... Visit with friends to have a carvery meal. On being served with my meat choice I commented that the meat looked rather dry but was tol that that was not the case. It was dry and my meal was ruined. The others were not impressed with their meals either. The off the menu meals however looked so much better so... More

We have had Sunday lunch a few times in the Inn for all seasons. It does not disappoint. The carvery is excellent and extremely well priced and service is good. Booking at peak times is essential. The premises could do with some upgrading but don't let this put you off.

Visited here with a friend last month (Feb) for a Sunday Roast. It is a lovely big restaurant, very spacious, clean, with friendly Staff. However, as I'm vegetarian, they don't have Vegetarian meals all ready cooked, so you have to order it as you go in at the door. Then you will have to wait for it to be cooked,... More

Cannot fault our visit to this pub last Sunday. Excellent carvery - one of the best in Cornwall that we have visited. Efficient service, especially considering how busy they were. Great selection of desserts. All very reasonably priced. Excellent.

Thank Kylie B
