I've visited The Old Quay House on foot and by car many times over the years for drinks and meals but haven't been for quite a while. I visited in November with my 90 year old mother and sister and it was a chilly day so we asked if we could sit at a table in the bar area, where... More

We both had the slow cooked beef casserole with chunky veg & topped with herb dumplings yum yum. There weren't any chunky veg, didn't think sliced onion counted and No herb dumplings. The waitress did say "sorry" the chef forgot them. Plenty of over good pubs around to spend £27 on two dishes !!!

We visited on a Sunday as we'd just arrived in nearby Penzance, and wanted an easy-to find venue for visitors later in the week. First impression: a very wet windy day day matched the pools of water in the car park. However, once inside, things improved considerably, with a very friendly welcome from the staff. The restaurant's view over the... More

Booked for an evening meal to celebrate a birthday. What a pleasant surprise to find smiling, friendly, helpful staff and a wonderful atmosphere, and the food....I can only say we have not enjoyed a meal so much in a very long time. We will DEFINITELY be going back. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

We had a lovely meal Thursday evening. Plenty of parking, easy to find. Pub is warm and welcoming as are the staff. Food is amazing, I ordered the butterfly Cajun chicken and it was divine, they provide very generous portions! Can't recommend enough - will definitely be going back when we visit again next year!

Stopped here for lunch on the 27th october. we had passed the place a few times going into Hayle,so we thought we would give it a try. Its a very clean and smart place, the outside area is immaculate and over looking the Hayle estuary, there is also sleeping accommodation too. The food is well worth the money, as it... More

Came for a Sunday Carvery with my family. The staff seem confused and very unorganised, although friendly. Stood at the bar waiting to be served for about 5 minutes. We were seated and told to go to the Carvery when ready. I thought a Carvery was help yourself? But the staff put everything on a plate for you, which is... More

Perfectly located on the water's edge of the beautiful RSPB Hayle Estuary Nature Reserve, experience stunning views whilst enjoying our delicious home-made food in our restaurant, relax with a real ale in our cosy bar area or watch the children on the play area in our large estuary side garden. Our very popular carvery is available every Sunday lunch and dinner, along with our normal menu (booking advised).
