Very disappointed with the food. The food is clearly microwaved and not freshly prepared. I would not recommend. Couple this with a downgraded food hygiene rating of 2 which is out of 5 and means improvement necessary. One to avoid.

We have visited many times over the years for a drink or lunch but not for dinner in many years. On our last night of holiday we decided to give it a try, mainly for the view to be fair. However, we were HUGELY happy...More

We visited The Bowgie Inn on the recommendation from friends. We arrived lunchtime via Crantock beach and a climb up and over the rocks. The pink pub is lovely with fabulous views over the sea. My partner had the mussels which he very much enjoyed....More

Now that I'm back from my holiday in Crantock, I'm already missing the lovely Sunday lunches we had both weeks of our holiday. We all had the roast beef and I can recommend it. Loads of meat on the plate (which made my teenage son...More

How has this pub won an award??? Guarantee it is ALL frozen and microwaved. Homemade----- really? Just terrible. Worst meal in a long time. I took two mouthfuls and gave in. Shame my 70 year old dad, who's birthday it was, paid for it!

Yes the food is rubbish and dominated by warmed up and microwaved crap. Looking at the comments there are more complaints than you would usually expect and the food standards agency have rated them as a 2 for food hygiene... More

Very poor food - if you read through the reviews there is a trend of poor food. Deep fat fried food is sometimes passable by some but generally the food is poor as is the food hygiene rating of 2 (improvement necessary).
