Today my sister and her husband kindly took my husband and I to lunch at the Finnygook to celebrate our joint 70th birthday. Beautiful drive down from Callington and arriving at this lovely little Inn we were amazed at the lovely setting and from the lounge area the far reaching views were stunning. The staff were very obliging and we... More
Outside looks a little run down so didn't know what to expect last week when we travelled down on our holiday, however, the inside is done up very nicely and has a lovely atmosphere. The staff were really lovely and talkative. When on holiday some bar people prefer the locals to the tourists but they were so lovely to us... More
We visit the Finnygook for the fish pie, it's definitely the best one we've had in the area. However, on our last visit we got tempted by a main from the specials board and this was also really good. Service is good and the restaurant feels nice and cosy, prices are perhaps a bit too high on food.

The service from the beginning was excellent and the food was second to none. We indulged in all 3 courses and were not let down by anything.... More
Was visiting friends in the area and they took us here for dinner - we were not disappointed. The beer was good, the atmosphere was lovely and the food was superb - especially the scallops (and the burgers and the pork loin)! Very friendly staff and reasonably priced. We'll be back if we're back in the area.

The dining room has exquisite views of the Cornish fields and is decorated very tastefully. Four of us went for dinner last... More
Nicely furnished pub open fire etc , good menu , good standard well presented food , I wouldn't try the more exotic dishes i.e. Indonesian duck curry which I thought very average Great bottle of Rioja reserva at reasonable price Will return
