Called in with friends for lunch. They had real ale in a 2 for 2 offer which was a good start. We ordered lunch and the staff told us there would be a wait and to order later. They kept us informed and served at the table. When we did order the food came out very quickly and was excellent... More

We have tried to have a Sunday roast here on 4 different occasions. The first two, we were told the restaurant was fully booked, which we took to be a sign of a good pub with good food. The third time, we made sure we booked a table on Sunday evening at 7pm, but were told once we'd sat down... More

Book on match days it gets busy. I can recommend the Cheese Soufflé for starters. Gammon steak is thick and tasty served with a perfect fried egg covered with black pepper granules and crispy chips. Good choice of wines and beers. Staff pleasant and attentive. Not cheap but reasonable value

The meal and service could not have been better and the right pricing too for this type of restaurant. My mother & sister had the duck which they both loved and I was down to earth and had the Chicken and Mushroom pie, chips and Chantanay Carrots. The pie was perfect and beautifully served. After a few eating disappointments recently... More

I'm not a fan of chains & had reservations when they took over the long established & local favourite pub. I needn't have worried, many dinners later, it's superb. Good atmosphere, really tasty & the staff are always friendly & helpful.

Description
This is very much a Victorian purpose built pub, but its roots are somewhat older. The original Teddington King's Head dates back to 1689, the time of William III. Maybe it's the history of the building that gives the pub its appeal or it could be Polly and her team who are undeniably charming, attentive and professional that make you want to come back time and time again.

Our regulars love us for the informality and cosiness of the King's, we have a large pewter bar, inviting snugs, three separate rooms, open fireplaces and a wonderful walled patio at the back (with our own fruiting grape vine).

Our open kitchen shows we are as serious about our food as we are about our ales and our wines - the menu features French brasserie dishes with an English pub twist with everything cooked fresh on the premises.
