We live nearby. Some of our family recently stayed at Tankersley Manor.whilst visiting from abroad. We joined them for a meal which we found to be of poor quality, badly prepared , presented and grossly overpriced. I could not find any positive comments other than its location.

I visited TM last week for a business training event. The place is easy to find and has good parking facilities. The staff were really accomodating and helpful. Our first day was full on starting at 9am - 7pm. They kept us supplied with tea,s and coffees and snacks which were lovely. The evening meal was nice and as we... More

Went to a wedding at this hotel last weekend and it was fantastic. The setting is ideal. You feel like you are in the middle of nowhere but its only 5 mins from the M1. We were given a warm welcome on arrival and as we had chosen to stay over we were given access to our room, which was... More

Called in to enquire about a 90th birthday party, the staff were incredibly helpful even though the events staff were busy. The lady at reception took our details, was really excited that we had called in, showed us 4 private rooms and explained how each one would be set out.......needless to say we will probably book this venue

Got the lunch, dinner, B&B package. Felt it was good value and would go again. Meal in the restaurant was lovely with a nice choice including a healthy option.

The eating area is just an extension of bar and so can be very noisy.Food was average and prices were a bit on the high side for the quality received. Wine selection not very good and we were disappointed with the two bottles we had during our stay.

Stopped over for one night recently on business, rooms are seriously dated and in need of modernising-pleasant enough spa though! The food here though is where all the pleasantries end, massively over priced for the kind of food served, poorly prepared, poorly cooked and meagre portion sizes. I had a starter of trout which was massively overcooked and the main... More
