Called in on a saturday afternoon. Too busy. Took ages to be served and couldnt get a seat. A sign of a good popular pub, but too busy for my liking

I am a real ale drinker, to which I found a good pint called Viking, from a brewer from York, a nice quenching drink at £2.35 pence. To me the Silkstone is a place for having just a drink, never... A big thank you to the staff there as well, we were strangers but... More

Different, as one might expect to the other Wetherspoons B/ley outlet, the Bramah. Perhaps not quite a busy, and the clientele is different but the ale was excellent when I/we were there. One of the Acorn Brewery products was nectar and I had to try three pints to verify the first reactions of my taste buds! Not the first time... More
