The service was fine when we had a takeaway here one Monday night a few weeks ago, but the food was not great - the biriani sauce was very dark and thick/gloopy, and the starters were extremely spicey but we were not warned of this and didn't ask for this level of spice either.

This is a very friendly & attentive establishment. The food was lovely and very tasty. I recommend the combination dishes as they're a great way to try more flavours.

Good food, great service and lovely staff. We had great laugh there. Reasonable prices and loved the rose wine with hints of raspberry and strawberry.

Found it just out of luck looking for something to eat while staying in a hotel nearby. I would say the best Indian food I have had for a long while and the staff really make the whole experience top quality and offered recommendations from the kitchen. Add a nice pint of kingfisher and what more can you ask. Reasonable... More

Recently re visited Redolence Spice and have to say their standards and quality of food have not deteriorated since my last review in 2014. If anything it has improved. Had the best curry for a long time both starter and main were excellent. Service, as usual, was efficient and timely. Will definitely be visiting again.

Staying in a nearby hotel on my own I fancied a curry for a change. Checked the scores on the doors app for 5* hygene and trip adviser for food quality. What a gem, hidden away above the local shops! Fantastic food and excelent service. Highly recomended!

We are not local to the area and we're looking for a nice place to eat as the restraunt as our hotel had unfortunately stopped serving food for the night. This actually ended up being a blessing in disguise as the food we ended up eating here was delicious. We turned up at around ten o'clock and the place was... More

I reckon out of all the curry houses in Redditch this tops the lot. Chef Alan usually pops out of the kitchen to have a chat. Sam is always trying new cocktails. Amzad can recommend a dish based on how you are feeling that night. Great welcoming service. The food is excellent no matter what. It is now my restaurant... More

Contemporary style imbues every part of Redolence Spice, an Indian restaurant on Redditch's Unicorn Hill. Based around a palette of red, white and black, the restaurant's upstairs dining room is entirely modern with leather seating and white tablecloths, airy and bright thanks to large windows and well spaced tables. The atmosphere here at Redolence Spice is comfortable and laid back yet with a hint of formality in the extremely polite service from friendly, informed staff. Trained in restaurants throughout England and Bangladesh, Redolence Spice's head chef has a passion for food and flavours which really comes through in every dish on the Redolence menu, from the more traditional curries to the contemporary additions, with their lighter, healthier feel and delicate spicing. Fish is a particular specialty, freshly prepared for use in less well known but authentic regional delicacies. Extremely affordable, Redolence Spice is an ideal midweek treat for those days when cooking is just too much trouble.
